Hi Angela,
Wait till you hear my story. I am glad that everything turned out fine for you first. But, my Nov. 2009 I was awaken by a terrible smell and realized that my kitchen was on fire. The Maytag refrigerator that I had purchased in 2003 to replace the one that had burned up in our home had caught on fire due to a relay switch that maytag never informed me of the recall, but now my diswasher started smoking Feb. 2010 and I have been on and off hold now for 2 and 1/2 hour. So how did you get your dishwasher replaced with another? It has taken months for my refrigerator. Help!!! |

I called the Maytag hotline on June 4th about the dishwasher report. They setup an appointment for June 7th for the dishwasher repair. Repairman did not show up, so I called his business on the 8th. He told me that he did not have my name on his list and if he had, he did not have parts to fix it. There have been numerous calls between that day and today (July 16th) amd he still doesn't have the parts! Extremely POOR service! If you people don't wear clown suits to work, you are underdressed! You can rest assured that we will never, never buy another product that Whirlpool is associated with.

After three years ours gave. And we were told it would be cheaper to replace than repair. Our pump and the bearings are giving. |

We have had the same issue with ours however we found a site on the internet that talked us through the process of opening up the system to clean out the motor. Both times we found small pieces of plastic and bone - once we cleaned out the motor the grinding noises stopped. On the other hand we now have a problem with our control panel not working so this product is in my eyes a piece of junk - I will never buy Maytag again!! I could not find the actual link we used to go through the steps for removing the motor but try this one.. http://www.fixya.com/support/t1462362-loud_no... It was a very simple process but keep track of the order you take things off so you can get them back the correct way, good luck |

Once aorson does amintenance on a product it usually voids the warrnty of the product. --manufacturers just love to void a product, l;owers thier repair cost and less calls.

Corporations only put recalls on thier webb site or have a recall if they are forced to do so. By doing that they save money on labor and phone calls. Thus making them more profits for their CEOS bonuses.
