uplifting story in benton city

I just have to share an amazing story that touched my heart and has had me smiling for 3 days.
On Saturday June 12, 2011 I went to Benton City for the yard sale day. I was impressed with all the sales going on but I have to admit it made for a long and tiring day … towards the end of my day I stopped at “one last house” their sign said something about a bake sale and I was wanting a treat.
I was VERY impressed with what happened when I got there. I walked up to the table and was greeted by a AMAZING kiddo ( I would guess her to be about 7 years old) she explained to me that they were raising money for a pet rescue. I made a comment about how it must be hard to work all day long and give away the money she made and she looked up at me with the biggest smile and simply said “no it isn't my dog came from them and my family is whole with him, he brought us a new good friend (I assume it was the adult that was helping her count change because at that point the adult leaned over and gave her a kiss and said I love you) and we love him so much. I want to help the homeless dogs find their own families too” I smiled, got my change and put it in their donation box and I walked away with my brownie.
That AMAZING child not only helped those dogs she wanted to save but she helped an older woman feel uplifted and smile for three days and counting! The only regret I have is that I will not be able to find her and tell her she made my day! I know her name is Kendall and she lives in Benton City (I think). So Kendall if you somehow see this or find out about it please accept my VERY VERY sincere THANK YOU for making me smile and renewing my faith in humankind and life!!!!!
