It could be worse. I hope like hell it is Not John Blazek. For pete's sake he use to be a SWINGER or still may be one. How do you think he met his wife. After he's done half of the females that work for USD 266

i do have to agree with you on the drug issue. both my kids went there and they said it is full of extacy and coke. they even warned the kids the day before the drug dogs would come in so they would not look bad. so yes you are right about ALOT but not all of the kids there.

Fair enough. I can't argue with that. That school does get worse every year though as far as drugs go.

Unfortunately, there are probably drug and alcohol addicted, gangs, rich and poverty kids in every school district.

What can the schools do about it? Maize is making an attempt to help solve (or at least curb) the problem.

They have a mandatory requirement that all high school students involved in school functions sign a waiver agreeing to be randomly tested for drugs or alcohol to participate in any activity.

Do you think the administration wants these problems? Do you seriously think parents want these problems? Of course not!

I believe that Maize school district officials are doing the best they can under the circumstances.

What do you suggest?

They are trying to give these kids an easier OUT when attending social events - they are trying to allow these kids to say "NO, I can't drink, etc...." because I'm in sports or band, etc...

I wish there were an easy fix to all of these problems.

B.S.!!! OPEN YOUR EYES....If they are trying to curb the drug problem, Why in the hell do they bring the drug dogs in after telling the students oooo on a monday too how smart is that. Here's your sign.........Let's be honest with yourself about the issues USD 266 has. If you dont sign the waiver you cant park in the parking lot wow or do your sport of choice big damn deal. That just shoves the problem elsewhere right under the carpet.

I agree all schools have drug problems. Realize tho The problem in the Maize school sysytem is ignored tho by staff and their so called piss ant police dept.
