Well said, but people like to think of third world countries being far far away, like Iraq. We see Mexico as a tumor hanging off of our otherwise perfect bodies.........not likely

You seem like you have a pretty good perspictive on things albiet your screen name suggests a pessimistic outlook. Do things seem that bleak for you? I'm all for some mexicans in country. I just think we should round up and ship out a lot of them and repeal that in country citizen birth law. I appreciate your position |

I think we have labels for people too often by there race than by there actions. Places like Juarez are a hell hole because of a crooked government. The criminal activities that happen there happen everywhere, only there is no where for a decent person to go for help. It is a prime example of a lawless society, one that is filled with corruption and survival. We need to pressure Mexico into getting a grip on the reality that they cant go on like this, and we also need to help them find another source of income, they are an example of innercities here, unemployment breeds animals.

That makes a lot of sense and I guess there are a lot of countries like that. The INS has been getting a little more active in my area. Most of the latinos in this area are rural types. No gangs or trouble much at all. Overpopulation is the biggest problem in my view. |

Without sounding really off the wall, I think as humans we have instincts; most of which are no longer necessary for survival. If we were to look back in history as to how man survived I believe there would be a close assimilation to what we see in third world countries. Its hard to understand a world that is cutthroat, unless your whole premise in life is to survive and nothing more. Escaping that life is part of that survival, it would most likely be mine as well. Just like in Iraq we appear spoiled and arrogant to Mexico. We talk about all of our rights, and treat other humans as though they have none. I hope all this brings an opportunity for our Mexican neighbors to truly be heard. They need choices, right now they have none.
