After two days of hearings with the ABC Board, Club Owner Sam Moore still doesn't know the fate of his business.

Seems to me, the big spenders at this place are the ABC Agents. I wonder how many state tax dollars these ABC Agents dumped into the young ladies panties at this place. The quickest way to get rid of a business is to stop patronizing it. The enormous amount of free publicity this place gets at the tax payer expense seems only to encourage more to go see what it is all about.

Its sad that Richond, Va has no other news than this. This is why I, and many other business onwners have left the city. Talking about Sam and Velvet is a waste of time. You are not making any money off of this, so why does this city care. (because you people have no life) Richmond can't even keep a triple A baseball team.(That says it all)You should all wake up, grow up, and worry about yourself. No one, and I mean no one, wants to pay useless people in Richmond 250k and up, when this is all they have to talk about. Your city deserves what it gets. Now get off of our map, and quit making the United States look bad.

To: "its sad", I am sorry you were left with such ill feelings toward Richmond, but you obviously must still have concern for the city or you would not be reading and contributing to Richmond Topix. It would appear you are writing from NYNY for which Richmond cannot compare, by choice. If the Velvet makes it in Richmond, it is only because people here want it and support it, if they are forced to close, another will open. Drugs and sluts exist everywhere, Richmond is no different. Most people in Richmond do not make $250 K because our cost of living does not demand it, and as far as the baseball issue is concerned, we just got a replacement team from Connecticut, and if our city leaders keep their noses out of it, we should be good to go.
