I have bought literally dozens of antique guns, armor and swords from Tony Wilcox and he has always been eminently fair and a consummate gentleman in every instance. If anyone has an issue with him I feel certain Tony will do everything in his power to make it right.

Hell! He probably learned his lesson about ripping people off when he figured out that people like me would put the word out that he is a crook! It is just too bad that he wasn't so cordial with the gunbroken.com deal he screwed me on. Not only did he back out of the deal after I won the auction at such a great price, but he vehemently denies that it ever occured. Doesn't sound like he was too worried about making things right with me.

He knew he was going to lose money on the deal, so he bailed. He claimed he sold the gun out of his shop, even though it was still listed on the auction site. I have no problem with a person selling the same item in two places, but proper etiquette is that a person listing an item in two different venues is that they should be upfront about it, and they should take it down from the second place if they sell it at the first place. If not, and it sells at the second place, it is a binding contract. Tony Wilcox LTD voided the contract, and the crook that runs gunbroken.com was nothing more than an accomplice. I discourage anyone from buying anything at gunbroken.com or from Tony Wilcox LTD. becase if they don't like the price an item sells at, they can tell you to go pound sand, and you have no manner of recourse. A big thanks to Michael Ronald Zomber for helping to keep my post at the top of google's search list for Tony Wilcox. I encourage everyone to reply to this post so the post's ranking remains at the top of the search query!(:

I feel sorry for Mr GettyLeigh but I do believe he is confused about the facts and honestly believes that everyone is out to get him . He openly admits that he was removed from Gunbroker for failing to comply with Gunbroker regulations. A little thearapy and professional couchtime would do him some good . However I would like to thank the many happy customers I have had the pleasure of meeting through GunBroker.com . As for Gettyleigh, If you where me would you sell this guy a gun?????
wherever did I admit that? add liar to his reputation of cheater and theif!

perhaps it is Geddyleigh who is confused...because who in their right mind buys a Ruger PC9?????
Yes! Why on earth would anyone want a carbine that takes the same magazines as a pistol? Why on earth would anyone want a carbine that the police use quite frequently? Why on earth would anyone want a carbine that has almost doubled in price since it was discontinued? The truth be told Valmet, whether the rifle is worth it's salt or not is not the issue. The issue is that Tony Wilcox ripped me off, and gunbroken.com helped him to do it. GO find yourself a PC-9 ... if you can, it's an awesome little carbine and they are highly sought after. It ain't worth a damn for hunting, but the ammo is cheap and widely available. The terminal ballistics are doubled with the 18" barrel, compared to the 4.5" barrel of a P-85/89. BTW, what gun MFG, is consistently the top 3 sellers in the US year after year? I'll let you figure it out if you are capable. From the looks of your argument, I doubt you could decipher the difference between your elbow and the sphincter you been spouting excrement out of.

I have known Tony Wilcox for many years. I have bought Japanese swords, Colt revolvers, and rare military pistols from him and have always been delighted with every transaction. Tony Wilcox is the very best dealer I know of and I do not know what went amiss with the complaining party but Mr. Wilcox is invariably pleasant, incorruptibly honest, and accommodating almost to a fault. I recommend him without hesitation whether buying, selling, or consigning.

"invariably pleasant, incorruptibly honest, and accommodating almost to a fault."

Okay, read the post he initially wrote ... not to mention the original dialogue we had when trying to hash out the problem.

The guy even claimed I was thrown off gunbroken.com .... it's not like I refused to pay ... all i did was complain that there was a breech of contract when tony failed to produce the goods after I won the auction.

I had to beg the guy to delete my account ... there was no way to do it on my own; and when I made the request, the schmuck stated that he was "Sorry I couldn't follow the rules."

As far as I'm concerned, I would urinate on either of them if they were on fire.

BS...Gunbroker.com has absolutely no support. I had way over 400 purchases on the site, complained to them about a bait and switch, and they said they would take care of it, but they ignored it. When I complained again, they summarily closed my account...not the seller's account. There is no one you can contact about abuses by GB.com Support, and if the truth be told, there is no support. They tell you what you want to hear, but do absolutely nothing.
Sellers can do no wrong...buyers can do nothing right...that is their support.

the reason the link no longer works is because Mr. Urvan spent a considerable amount of money to protect his interest, and filed suit against the guy who built the Ihategunbroker.com website. search some more there is a plethora of websites to bitch about the tactics that gunbroker.com utilizes to minimalize those who call them crooks. I am thoroughly surprised he hasn't tried to squelch this post.

Wow, gettyleigh, still pounding on Tony almost 6 years after your deal with Tony went wrong. Darn, you sure must have been disappointed! But really, he didn't cause you any financial harm, did he? I've had the same thing happen to me on ebay more than once from pawn brokers and small antiques dealers. I guess the difference is that I'm a grown up and can deal with small disappointments in life. Just saying.

I've only know Tony for a few weeks now but I feel like he's an old friend when I stop by his store. His place is the friendliest most fascinating GS I've ever been in and Tony is surely the most generous with his time! But, it is basically a one man shop and it seems to be quite busy throughout the day - no way he has time to be checking on auctions every few minutes or even hours.

Personally, I look forward to many more years of doing business with him.

Chappy,

The fact that he reneged on his deal is subsequent to the way it was handled after the fact. This post isn't just about giving Tony a black eye, it's also here to forewarn people just how much of a scumbag the owner of gunbroken.com is ... that Urvan guy has done the same thing to an innumerable amount of bidders on his website.

Urvan doesn't care about the bidders; he only cares about the people he collects auction fees from. Search for the "reviews for Gubroker.com " you'll quickly find that this is not the only incident where someone got bit by gunbroker.com

The fact that they colluded to make me out to be the bad guy, that is the heart of the matter. Read back in the posts, Tony states that I got thrown off gunbroker.com ; I didn't get thrown off. I had to beg Urvan to remove my name because there is no way to delete your account at Gunbroker.com .

Even then, Urvan was living in denial, he sent me an email stating he was sorry that I could not follow gunbroker.com 's rules. What rule is that? Bend over and let a bunch of schmucks stick it to ya, because they didn't get enough cash back on the auction they listed. In legal circles, that is referred to as breech of contract.

As for Tony being a nice guy ... well maybe he is. Just the same, I'm the most congenial and easy going guy you'll ever want to meet ... until you cheat me, or lie to me.

Even worse, like Tony ... he cheated me ... and then lied about it ... how do you expect me to feel? Elated? Ta hell with Tony! I suggest you watch your dealings with him, because I suspect it won't be long before you eat crow. It ain't my fault the man is a one man shop ... is he that senile that he couldn't stay one top of his obligations?

Once again, thank you for posting, and helping me to keep this post high on Google's page rankings. I'm sure Tony will thank you for going to bat for him.
