So option D was selected. What were options A, B, C etc?
This is the first I read about this approval.
Sounds as if this was done in the middle of the night so to speak. Was the public invited to participate in this decision? If so when and where?

No, Barrett only wants a Town Hall Meeting to discuss other people.
This is big and should have been run past all of the Franklin Park voters.
Note, he did not ask our opinion on this. Every business we loose is tax money lost.
What are Jeff E. and Barrett thinking?

WEhat do the FPFD firemen do all day? we do need them but there is way too many for our village needs. We could close one of the houses and save money.

WOW! People complain that the Mayor asks their input and say, "he can't make decisions on his own!" Others like you feel they need to make decisions for the town. The options were weighed. This will bring more traffic to franklin avenue which equals more revenue. I'm sick of people constantly trying to rationalize their irrational thoughts. THIS IS GOOD FOR FRANKIN PARK.

This project is not intended to bring traffic to Franklin Park. The purpose is to bring people into the airport. Franklin Park will gain very little if anything. The planning of this was well thought out by Chicago. Pedersen did nothing except wand it on paper. And, I might add, did nothing to persuade Chicago to steer more business to Franklin Park. This is nothing more than an access road that will not be built soon.
Mayor Craig Johnson of Elk Grove Village was one of the last to hold Chicago back. Within the last year or two Johnson capitulated and worked out an agreement for Chicago to build the access roads to make Elk Grove Village accessible.
To date, Chicago is dragging it's feet. And Mayor Johnson is now asking what is taking so long to get started. Nothing is happening.
The 294 entrance and exists won't be built for many years. Dasley is getting older and facing family problems, some nephew of his made 70 million questionable dollars and with the deficit Obama is running along with the health care thing that will go nowhere, there is no money to build. Besides, industries, such as the recent Plastic industry left Chicago for Nevada where they can get a better deal. With the economy going global, what is the attraction to go to Chicago for anything?
The days that Chicago had broad shoulders are gone. Franklin Park was one a thriving industrial town, not anymore.
So Pedersen signs on to a bill to build and access road to where?

He signs on to build an access road to the west...as in the Elgin O'hare Expressway.

WELLLL,I say let them all go and outsource the whole kittin kaboodle, that would save us taxpayers close to all of the defecit, and we would not have to suffer from too many other cuts elsewhere. And other services can remain almost the same. It's gotta be close to 2 million $'s a year, for just the FPFD outsource,in savings alone!!!!They are reading this from their Lazy Boys as I print this, are you kidding?

more traffic means better police protection
