ANother example of Chicago wasting money . 11 milion that could go to schools, CTA, instead to a contractor , just raise the taxes and build more parks, and pay fines to contractors the Mayor does not like. The city that works is the City that wastes and taxes!!!!!!!!!

STUPID? i dont think so. Assuming your financial prediction is correct (which I doubt), where is this financial windfall going to end up? In the hands of the most corrupt city and county governments in the nation. That's where. What makes you think any of this money is going to be spent properly? More tax money coming in to Chicago and Cook County just means more graft. A bigger trough for the hogs to feed at. How long have you lived in Chicago?

Now his top cop wants to spend more replacing almost everything in the CPD arsenal (cars, guns, radios). Daley gears turning "How about a tax for every........"

Just another few millions that "won't cost the taxpayers" a thing.
Glad the city is learning how to spend millions of taxpayers money. Its a good warm up for the Olympics when they'll need to bring their "A" game to spend billions.

Good ol Dick Daley - he sure is a winner...

Go Chicago PD wrote: not to mention it is a very beautiful property right in the heart of the city. It's HALF A BILLION dollars! How do you NOT build a beautiful park for HALF A BILLION? I'd be impressed if the pols could create a great park for a reasonable amount of money. Look at the cow thing. That cost the city little and yet brought in lots.
