Maria, Let me crack your skull with a bat once or twice and see if you wouldn't want to shoot me. Get a life!

Tasers are a great alternative but you have to be in close quarters to use one. Would you want to take a chance of getting hit with the bat to use it?

that's bull you don't have to be right up on someone, I seen someone get tasered and that wire is long enough not to get too close, these cops are really losing their minds and if we citizens just sit back and let them keep killing us, claiming they are scared for thier lives we might be next. They have protocols to follow and if we get happy for them murdering every suspects we might be next.

I have zero respect for Bensalem law enforcement. They're a pack of wannabes with little to do except bleed their own citizens dry with inane traffic citations.

They're truly a bunch of losers.

A baseball bat is a deadly weapon - if you wield it at cops, and refuse to put it down - you deserve to be shot. If they had tasered him, the bleeding hearts on here would be complaining and saying they should have been able to disarm him without using a taser. It never ends.

Not difficult these days to be a cop. Don't need to college degree or nuttin. Just go to academy which is paid for my taxpayers. not a big deal. That's why there are a lot of knucklehead that are cops.

There are plenty of well educated cops - that is a gross generalization, which is incorrect.

@ Unbelievable ~ I agree with you, however, education has little to do with street smarts or the administration of justice, neither of which are among the strengths of the Bensalem Police Department.

The impact on the township of Bensalem has been catastrophic, especially considering the economic downturn this country is in.

Bensalem's force of largely college educated law enforcement see their department as a revenue stream for the township more than keepers of the peace. Consequently, a push is on inside the department to hire more experienced police officers from Philadelphia in an effort to teach these book smart cops what their real job is.

If you're pulled over in Bensalem they're not issuing you a warning, you're gonna pay.

This seems a bit much. I'm sure they could have shot him in the arm or knee or something. I think killing a guy who's holding a baseball bat is excessive force.

I grew up with a few bensalem cops and i can tell you first hand that they were the guys with the biggest egos and weakest test scores. As cops they let their increased sense of power get to their heads. In all honesty these guys really cannot not do anything else with their lives. They seek pleasure bgy intimitated the local populace that they swore to serve.

Bensalem is easily as bad as West Chester if not worse. I would not move to either of these places due to the increasing crime rate. These places will mirror Camden within 2 years.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Aries

It's one of those days when you'd be wise to mind your Ps and Qs if you want to avoid putting both feet in it or feeling like a fool. The trouble is that you're finding it hard to think before you speak, and you're rushing into situations without thinking about the possible consequences. All you can do is to apologize and try your hardest not to let it happen again.
