Two weeks ago we went on a family outing that was outside . The event was about 2 hours long and people could smoke at their free will.
At the end of the night I had to use my inhaler (I have not done that since Nov ) My lungs were so tight and I just have an acute form of asthma.
It does affect those around you even outside.
My opinion

Municipalities need to focus on areas where the real risk is...bars, restaurants etc. Go to one of these places, you smell awful by the end of the night, have watery eyes, and your clothes stink.

As you may tell, I am a non-smoker, hate it. If you are a smoker, fine, but you don't need to blow it out the side of your mouth or force other people to deal with it. And don't give me that freedom or rights s***. Bottom line, non-smokers have rights to not have to deal with known carcinogens and killers.

But, truly, the most important thing is banning this everywhere to ensure the health and safety of all the workers. Imagine, day after day breathing in all that smoke if you are a waiter, waitress or bartender.

It is not right. Statistics are showing an alarming rate of non-smokers who work in smokey environments that they themeselves are succumbing to lung cancer.

Just recently, I was at a bar and there was a non-smoking pregnant lady bartender. Very Scary. If she needs to make good money, what is she going to do? Some people are forced to deal with it....It just isn't right.
