Accused monument vandal pleads not guilty to two felonies

A local man accused of defacing the Bennington Battle Monument is facing an additional felony charge after his arraignment on Tuesday.

They should punish this kid by making him clean up the "Young Thugz" tag near the police station.

I think any jail time at all for a teen is way out of line for this offence. Cleaning "yags" that others have done, and perhaps probation would be great! But jail, for 5 year or more? What would "we" have accomplished by that other than creating yeat another criminal. From my understanding, he is on the short end of 18, just a couple of moonths over 17. A little compassion in this case could go a VERY long way in creating a GOOD citizen!
