It is unfortunate when a member of an institution of honor and integrity, such as the Vermont State Police, makes an inaccurate statement to the national media, but that is exactly what one of our local troopers did to the students of the Bennington community.

Mr. Obenauer, you are naive if you think there isn't a huge problem in Bennville. And you are incredibly naive if you think gradumertates of your fine institution, whose most prominent external feature is a DAY CARE CENTER, would *not* be associated with that huge problem.

Keep on thinking Bennville is a great town. That way everything will keep going swimmingly, just like right now. And by that, I mean that your little snot-noses can pick up there heroin just as easily as the late bus, by waiting a few minutes after school and walking less than two blocks from that day care center.

Who *wouldn't* want to hire a product of that system? Well, almost everyone.

Mr. Obenauer, if your snot-noses are such jewels when they in high skool, why did the article focus on two unwed mothers? One twenty years old with a kid, the other 23 with three kids.

Yep, that's because a newspaper article said bad things about them that just were not true. Maybe you should check with a biology teacher (or the manager of the day care center). I think they have figured out what really causes that.

Most reliable indicator of living in poverty your entire life? Not even drug use. It's having kids when you are under 20 and unmarried.
