Vallejo choices should be relief to you. Two imbecile incumbents and a nymphomanic former non-profit director fired for filing a lawsuit. Feel better?

Well put. Messina has no business messing with our schools, he already did enough damage.

Benicia you voted for Messina, but still, I am staying foot, because, believe me, Vallejo has got it real bad.

I don't really have a problem with Messina. What I do have a problem with is the unbridled cronyism at the DO. Friends of Janet are running the place! This includes Rosie Switzer.

Rosie, Dana Dean are complete incompetents. Just visit a board meeting and it is self evident. At least Messina will give a fresh voice. I am encouraged.

Outside of Andre Stewart, the board is a bunch of low intelligent incompetents.

Benicia Parents, Be Aware and Concerned. Sad for Vallejo, Adrienne Waterman was elected to school board for Vallejo, Sad for Benicia as well, she is already trying to get her buddies in Benicia to hand over Benicia's resources towards Vallejo. Benicia School Board, do NOT deal with Waterman. Do not trust her with money raised by families in Benicia. She will rob you!

What a bunch of uninformed vitriol on this board. Dana Dean, Rosie Switzer and Adrienne Waterman are all intelligent, dedicated women that we are lucky to have elected.

Considering the source of this post, I feel completely vindicated in my posting. And Dan - I am very active in the district and know what I am talking about. BUSD suffers greatly from 1) Cronyism (Friend of Janet), and 2) Incompetence at the board level.

Example: When budget cuts were targeted this past year, what was Rosie's position of priority? Save the reading specialists at Joe Henderson! They happen to be close friends of hers. What about teachers? What about curriculum? NO! In Rosie's world, her friends are priority over students.

If you were as active as you say, you'd know that the superintendent's name isn't Janet. But I'm glad you appreciate Andre, because he is definitely a real asset to the district too, just as Dana and Rosie are.

Gee Dan ... you got me. JANICE. Friends of JANICE. Do you care to comment on the cronyism? The head of HR, Special Ed.... all FOJ's. Rosie ... I challenge anyone to watch a school board meeting and see if anyone's opinion matches Mr. Smith. A single viewing and I think it will be easy to see who is competent. But a warning .. it's hard to hear Rosie on TV .. she smacks gum pretty loud.
I know Rosie well ... she is a hot head, opionated, and not a top notch intellectual (to be kind). She has an agenda: Her friends and the teachers. Period. The rest of the district can go to hell.

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Virgo

At some point today you'll enjoy working on a pastime or getting together with a group of kindred spirits. This will help you to relax and remind you that there's much more to life than mundane chores and a need to pay the bills. A friend is full of quiet commonsense that's well worth listening to, even if it won't set the world alight.
