Can someone tell me what has happened to the cheese store? I have went in there to buy a cheese spread and I bought a sandwich today. It had hair in the sandwich since none of them wear hair nets. And not to mention a huge fat chick was fixing my sandwich. I also saw one of the employees standing at the back door smoking a cigarette. What in the world? A man was in front of me saying how nasty the place has gotten. I wont be back.

I went over New Years and the place was clean and the staff was friendly and clean! Stop being so mean and negative, because your life is miserable does not give u the right to try and destroy others lively hoods! Grow up! If u have an issue with one person from within there how about u go to the manager or owner! Enough said!

Well, according to your post, what has happened is that they have stopped wearing hair nets, gained some weight, and started smoking. Like that man said, "The place has gotten nasty".

I wonder why that man and you were both in line with purchases if it was so gross? There's nothing worse than a fat chick fixing a sandwich. What kind of cheese sandwich was it? Pimiento? Swiss? Is there any other place where you could make your next cheese sandwich purchase?

We are not required by the Kentucky health department to wear hair nets. Anyone who claims to have seen any of the workers wearing hair nets in the past is lying. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, due to something like "a hair in your sandwich" please inform management and proper action will be taken to insure that the problem is fixed. The prices are high due to the products that we carry in our store..(IE- Boars Head meat, Black Mountain Cheeses, Kentucky Proud Products) We pay a high price to make sure that we offer only the best to our customers. Any complaints about the store, food, or workers needs to be taken up with the owner. Appearance of our workers should not make a difference in how your food tastes... We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate against age, sex, race or WEIGHT!

My co-workers and I eat lunch there regularly. The prices are worth the quality...you won't get a better deli sandwich. The pasta salad is great, too...especially the taco pasta salad.

The ONLY problem is that it isn't the fastest place, but we just get there a few minutes early to beat the lunch crowd.

Your 1st sentence out of your trap says it all! They are not required by law by the state of Kentucky to wear hair nets. Even though this is gross and nasty as shit, this person who claims to be the owner is ok with that. Why dont you go above and beyond and make the public proud and make them 90 year old ladies in the back wear hair nets?!?!

Its not a law by the state of Kentucky, but do YOU or any of your fat ass workers in the back wash their hands? Im guessing not since its not a law of Kentucky, right? GROSS! I wont be back!!

I'am fine not having you coming back into our store again, obviously our business is so brisk that we have not missed you. By your language maybe a truck stop is more up your alley.

We love the cheese store. Good food, have never seen a hair. If you want want people with hair nets go to McDonald's. believe me as a local business owner (but not on food service) if this is the kind of language and behavior you you use, the Cheese Store doesn't need your money and neither does any body else.

I am not just saying this because I am kin to them or because my mother used to work there because if all of your accusations were true then I would agree with you! However, my aunt and uncle work there asses off from sun up to sun down to make sure they run a top of the line family establishment! I know this because I've been there, I've unloaded a few of there trucks, my mom used to work there and so what she has big black curly hair and is a few pounds over weight? I can promise you this: I've never met a more hard working woman in my entire life with more ethics and workmanship in the world! Along with my grandmother! they are all good people of principle so stop picking on them if you have problems of your own...like it was said before! Maybe a truck stop would be more suitable for your tendencies!

That place is high priced and I put my "stuff" back. And I will never go back in there. To the "owner" tell your nasty fat employee to never "flirt" with me again. She was using nasty language and when I was parking my vehicle she was out back with two other women taking a smoke. SO maybe you should re-evaluate the image that people first see. This was the first time and last I will ever visit your store. She had brown shoulder length hair. I just thought i would support a local business but I'd rather drive extra miles to Lexington. I own a business myself and image is everything. I was in there Thursday last week.

The food is very good and high quality. Some people in G-town and on Topix have no clue what quality is. The " hair in my food " claim is obviously just a hater.

Ann the blonde doesn't work there anymore. Everyone that works there seems to be related. When I was in there with my girlfriend there was an older lady raising heck over a hair in her tuna sandwich and they gave her money back. So yes thats true and after two bites of chili we have never went back.
