"Justified" actually makes Harlan County seem better than it really is.

I just wish they wouldn't make it look like every house in the county is a dump. I know there are some pretty rough looking places around there, but they are the exception, not the rule! I've never seen them filming trashy looking places when they are showing a scene in Lexington, or any other place for that matter.Lexington has some areas that I wouldn't want to have to be in in broad daylight, much less after dark!

No one portrays a place like this accurately. Who cares, the show is great.

Well if one is going to miss better shows I miss "Deadwood." Best of them all. And "Justified's" Timothy Olyphant was in it too.

The show is alright but i like walking dead better. I think justified makes all of us harlan countains look rough and theres some damn good people here that i haven't been able to find no matter where i go. On the other hand,I do have a gun and my property is well protected from those local thieves. You have to do that no matter where you go.

...Not to mention the people. Why is it the only decent looking person in "Harlan" is Ava?

I like Justified. I think it's funny how they make a trip to Lexington seem like it takes just minutes. In one episode last season they went from Harlan to Lex then back to Harlan all while the sun was still in full shine. Not accurate, but still a good show.

I myself am not a fan of Justified at all.

One reason is that they portray Harlan County natives as. Stupid, toothless, inbred, murderers, who have no idea as how to dress.

But I could live with that if the show was entertaining. I just dont think it is very well written. I watched a few episodes and just did not find anything in it that was interesting enough to entice me to continue watching.

However I did enjoy the character Mags Bennett. Because I think we all know that she was very loosely based on Mag Baily. And even if she wasn't she was a great character. And the actress who portrayed her did an excellent job.

I wish someone would do a show about how Harlan really is. But if they did, it wouldn't last long. Because it would sure be some kind of boring, if they portrayed Harlan County with any type of true accuracy.

I agree with you on the Mags Bennett character. Don't know what they were thinking when they killed her off, but she was the the one that made if interesting. I watched the first show this season, and it will most likely be my last.

Well no, not at all. If it was the TRUTH! But its not truth it's all fantasy. If you dont know that. You are either a resident of some other county. Or you're a complete idiot. Which is it?

I dont mind poking a little fun at US here in Harlan.(And I said US, becuase I myself am a proud resident of Harlan) And I actually have no problem with the way the show portrays Harlan, despite the inaccuracies. I just simply dont like the show.

Justified is a criminal procedural show. Raylan is a lawman. So the people he mostly comes into contact with are criminals. I don't think the writers and producers are suggesting that everyone in Harlan is a stupid criminal.
There are good and bad people in every town. Smart and stupid too.
