I think any parent should allow their kid make a drug- buy to help bring in a drug dealer to justice.I am just shocked it being Harlan County and all that somebody hasn't shot a few drug dealers for selling poison to their kids. Its poison they are sellin !This is their life you should protect your child more than that. This place would get cleaned up real fast if people cared enough to do the right thing.People are scared of the drug pushers .What are they going to do?They are already killing your family. what else could they do.Get some backbone stand up and stop it anyway you can.A drug/buy thats not too much to do .
For the record I am AGAINST substance abuse of any kind.I am just trying to understand how it helps our drug situation to send an informant in to make a buy, then pay the informant KNOWING that he or she is just going to go buy drugs to use themselves with the money. That is just putting MORE drug money on the street, and then the person that they bought from will be USED also,to make more buys from others,or sent to jail for 90 days and then let loose through drug court to sell another day.It seems like a never ending cycle to me.I stand by my opinion that our police officials dont want the drug problem to end because they would suffer budget cuts if it did. There has to be a better way.We as a nation can find and kill osama but we cant save young lives from the horrors of drug abuse. We should expect results, not a good looking set of numbers on a sheet of paper at the end of the year. Ask yourself's this question, has the drug problem gotten better?or has it gotten worse?
Are current methods used by the S O working?
Or do we need to try something else?
It has went from oxy's to soboxone and the soboxone is often prescribed by a doctor in strips that are easily shot up and the tracks just keep getting longer down the arms of those kids.
I dont have an answer to the problem either I just see that the current methods aren't working and current officials aren't showing me any real improvement ON THE STREET'S.Just my opinion and oppinions are like a ____ holes everybody's got one.Right Marvin?

I will say this much for the S O though, the problem goes way higher than the sheriffs office. When they do put a dealer in jail they usually are out in less than a year.
What we should do is make mandatory sentencing for dealing drugs the same as a sentence for wanton murder. Or make the second conviction for dealing a mandatory life sentence. The kids that have overdosed and died in this fine county are in the graveyards to stay aren't they? The scum that sold them the dope that killed them should be put in prison to stay.
