All these comments about how Scottie was a good kid and blah blah blah make me sick! What about Karen? She was one of my dearest friends and I miss her every single day! On top of the fact that she had 3 children that needed her and 5 grandchildren that will grow up with out there grandma. I don't give a damn how old he was they should have shot him in the back of the head unexpectedly just like he did Karen. It has been nearly 3 years to the day that we lost Karen and I know that she is in a better place, I just wish she was here to be with us and her family. We miss you and we love you!

Wow.. I wonder how you would feel if it was your mother that he killed for no reason..hardships in yo life only make you stronger not weaker ..this only goes to show how strong your really not..I've had a tough life no one ever told you it was gonna b easy to walk through. But taking a life I would never turn to especially not someone else's mother. Him loosing his mother should have gave more reason not to want to make someone else hurt the same way..I will still continue to live my life right with my head up.....mmm

Great news,he planned this crime as an adult,he walked into the store as an adult, he committed murder as an adult, therefore he should be tried as an adult, and executed as an adult. But now that his adult life is over, it is my guess that they will try to defend him by saying rap music made him do it, or some other cop-out excuse. simple fact is he committed the crime, and now needs to pay for it, because he did not give any empathy or sypmathy to the store clerk making minimum wage doing a job to live, nope not at all, he cold blooded murdered an innocent store clerk.
he was a kid he was in high school with me, how was he an adult?

What i heard about that night is simple. Scottie ran into the gas station, shot that lady in the head, tried to get the money but failed, then ran off. Sounds Cold blooded? Money obviously wasnt the motive. If he wanted the money he would have made her open the register first, before he shot her. From my knowledge the motive was: The lady that got shot had givin Scotties dad his third strike and got him life in prison. Her and scotties dad had gotten pulled over and there were drugs in the car. They got pinned on him. His dad got life in prison. So wouldnt you want revenge. Im not saying what he did was right, Im simply just giving a motive for what he did. Another Motive could be the gang issue. He was told in order to be in the gang ( called Flat Cats if im correct) he would have to kill someone. I actually feel sorry for him. Its all his Drug dealing brothers fault. Scottie was a normal kid but his brother changed him. Scottie was pretty normal while his mom was alive. His brother was still trying ti influence him but i believe scottie didnt give in to it for his mothers sake. Then tragically his mother died. So it was just Scottie and his brother. his is probably when his brother got a strong hold on scottie. After his mom died he probably gave in to all the Lies and bad influences his brother put forth in front of him...
look yall dnt need to speak on what yall don't even know I'm from the flats and its not a gang its a neighborhood that's been around for years and no it wasn't a gang ignetation nobody even new it was gonna happen till after it happened yea he couldve had better re models but nobody wants to give ppl like us a chance yes he could have done things diff that's if he did it yall are so dumb yall dnt even know the story yall here so many rumors and thank its the truth I'm sry for what happened but keep the flats out of your mouths when u don't even know what the hell your talking about and as gang wannabes first of all yea we got ppl in gangs in the neighborhood but they come from diff cities such as ft worth, dallas, arlington and waco so before u blast my neighborhood get sum info about it before u speak on it but were all grown now with famlies and good jobs we learnt frm our mistakes its apartvof growin up we didn't have rich famlies to hand us stuff we struggled hard sum ppl died sum ppl got locked up but everything we went through made us stronger half of yall are pussies hiding behind the internet anyways and wouldn't even confront one of us if u seen us so stop judging we were kids and teens growing up had to learn the hard way just sum of us can't fix the mistakes we made God bless and only God can judge me

I have known the entire family since scotty was around 3yrs old and yes he did have a terrible life. Mom passed away from cancer in Nov. 2005 and dad has never been there for the kids even before mom died so all but the youngest two have been on their own, or in the street for the majority of their childhood. With that being said, he deserves exactly what he gave, death. He knew what he was doing and HE KNEW BETTER!!!! I know some of you that knew him want to feel some type of sympathy for his situation, but again he knew better and I personally always told him and his brothers if they EVER needed anything they could come to me. So he had more options, he did not have to rob, steal or as it ended up, murder anyone. You guys need to give it up and let the justice system give him what he and all cold-blooded murderers deserve, DEATH@!!!
I love how people say they know someone or their families and have not one inkling of knowledge of them.. to be anonymous and shout criticism from the shadows is easy.. I know MY family.. MY brother.. who I don't know is you.. A mouth will say anything but the truth will prevail..#freescottie sentence has been reduced from life without parole to life with parole.. that's the first step to him coming home. There's levels to this.. just stay tuned..
