1FTRX12W34NA51186 Vin # Ford F150 at auction right now. They post some very good pictures of this truck including both sides the back and the enging compartment. I went to view the truck today and the picture they omitted is the front view which I tried to paste here. Bottom line the front end is totally screwed. It will need thousands of dollars of body work to make it right. Didn't know where else to post as there isin't a site I could find to report on towing companies that pull this kind of as I only know how to call it a"FRAUD".

We see Excalibur about once a month where I live (Bardin Greene apartments). The issue I have with them is many-fold, but mainly their refusal to comply with state law, namely the Texas Towing Law Occupation Code. Section 2308.253 clearly defines that notification for expired registration/inspection must be either 1) delivered in person to the owner or operator of the vehicle; or 2) sent by certified mail, return receipt requested to that owner or operator.
Excalibur refuses to comply with this law, stating emphatically that the red sticker IS in "compliance". It is not... and the reasons should be obvious to anyone with half a brain cell.
When I went to get my car, after returning from vacation... it cost me ~$800 to get it out. I never received notification in person or by certified mail. I was however, charged $50 for a certified letter ("we have your car, come get it") that I have yet to receive, some 3 months later.
They also refused to show a copy of their non-consent tow schedule, never mind that the sign (if you can read it) states that they must.
I was also denied the TDLR license number of the employee I was dealing with and told, "I would see i when I took them to court". Same was said of the tow schedule.
Their debit/credit machine never works... I've been back a number of times to see and the sign is sill there, "Cash Only" with directions to the local ATM. I believe the law states that credit/debit must be available as a payment option. Anyone confirm?
All in all, these guys are crooks. Their business -extortion. Good luck in your dealings with the TDLR on this, as they WILL drag their feet. I don't feel that the property managers are without fault here either, as they still allow it where I live, even after educating them on what the law states. Some might see that as being an accomplice to criminal activity...

I posted a couple months back in Oct. Would just like to update that my car was recently towed again for bogus reasons this past weekend. This time the fee to get my car out was $363--significantly higher than last time. When asked about the increase in price, the lady working refused to tell me the breakdown of the cost. She kept repeatedly saying that only AFTER I paid the full amount, she will release the information. I tried looking for a rates fee posted on the facility but the only sign they had posted up was all rusted away with no legible writing/prices (how convenient right?) So i had no choice but to pay this outrageous fee before I could even look at the receipt to see what I was charged for. Apparently this company has increased their towing fee since October and also charged me a "notification fee" of $50. Keep in mind, i was NOT notified that my car was towed so this fee was completely irrelevant and unjust. The only reason I knew my car was in their compound was because I have had experience with this disgusting company. I hope to God that someone with authority are reading all these posts about their illegal activity and shut this company down.

Elle,
You should file a complaint with the Texas Dept of Licensing and Regulation ASAP. They will investigate the "certified letter" you were charged $50 for. I was charged this too btw... no letter ever came.

The public has the right to use reasonable force to prevent their vehicle being towed from a parking lot with illegal tow signs posted. An illegal tow sign is a sign that states anything of than "Towing Enforced" in the red background beneath the tow symbol at the top of the tow sign.

You people should be ashamed to dog the towing company.I have a shop and people park on my land and walk over to another place and my people have no place to park.I have cars towed from my prop and now my sales are up because my people can park here and BUY my things. To sum it up ( HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF I PARKED MY CAR IN YOUR DRIVEWAY AND WALKED OVER TO ANOTHER HOUSE TO VISIT ONE OF MY FRIENDS)
Ashamed? You have to be kidding. I would dog any company that is crooked and tows vehicles for no reason at all, I could understand if they were illegally parked but this is not the case. Nick Massey, the owner of Excalibur towing is is obviously a poor business owner and practices shady business. Try getting a hold of him, next to impossible because he's hiding from all the pissed off people he has ripped off. BBB considers this company "F" rated, for very good reason.

This company was just taken to court and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation pushed for ~92k in fines. Looks like they'll get it and that there is still a bit of justice in the world.
