Nyaaaaaah. Same old crap. Nuttin new here. Just trying to stir the pot before the BOS votes on the budget. Probably be a dozen more nothings like this one by then. Shame on the Daily Press. Nyaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

(Did I get it about right? Tried to do it from memory.)

Sure didn't seem like anything new, but still nice to know that things are not forgotten about. I am interested in why the one line about C.W. Davis contributing $400 to Ressler's campaign was in there without further comment on the subject.....

Davis performed site work for Woodhouse and Ressler decided to sit on the sidelines during the Planning Commision meeting regarding one of Woodhouses projects. Hard to say why she did this, I'm guessing the Special Grand Jury will ask that question.

The thing I found the most interesting about the entire article was the last sentence. Their findings\report may stay sealed. I wonder how the community would feel about that?

Joy, he was just bringing up the fact that the GJ is looking at the meeting between Crewe, Ressler, and Jay Scudder about releasing a surety bond for Woodhouse. The bond was being held for the roads in the developement, which Davis was the contractor on.

There's another forum titled "Grand Jury questions officials" w/ 10 comments (found thru dailypress.com & clicking on the article)- not sure why there are 2 on same article, but here are a couple from that one:

Here we go again. Anything new in this article? No, just stirring the pot, trying to turn up the heat on the BOS right before the budget vote. A budget that the school board knows will not get them everything that they want. Timing of this article is very suspicous to me. Maybe Mat should come clean about who asked him to write this up. How many more articles along this line will come out in the next 12 days?
I think the person is called his news editor.
Just because the infamous 4 and their little clique want this mess that they created several months ago to go away, doesn't mean it has.
It's an ongoing story that's just behind closed doors now. It doesn't mean Mr. Sabo has a vendetta against them.
Most of the enraged citizens who voiced their opinions in public in Jan through March are trying to wait patiently for the GJ to do its job.
If the GJ finds them not culpable, we have to live with that (though it will be difficult to ever trust them).
If it finds the 4 and friends are culpable, they have to live with that.
It's the BOS's job to do the budget, even if under pressure of the GJ investigating them - they brought that on themselves.

Here the link to the HR Forum on the GJ. Hopefully it is still a good link.

I hope that the Grand Jury will not only look at the relationship between the parties on this issue, but maybe look at a few past developments and see who voted for them and who made a profit from them. From today's article, it appears that those selected for the GJ are taking things seriously. It makes me wonder just how long this type of thing has been going on --(surely this wasn't the first time this particular group worked together)-- and how much money they made at the County's and it citizen's expense. It always bothered me that CW and others like him that could profit from developments/projects were on the Planing Commission because that always seemed like a conflict of interest, however, who else would understand all of the details of such things? After all of this is over, maybe we need to discuss some ideas for reforms in the way the County conducts business and develop new Rules of Conduct for everyone who serves in County Government.
