just goes to show you how corrupt & stupid the DA's, ADA's, judges are around here -- leave a voice mail message & not serve someone properly! This is why no one gets prosecuted here -- the only thing the local pd's can do are issue speeding tickets & DUI's. The DA throws out everything else that they do!

Pttison is murdering scumbag absentee-dad, JUNKIE. He was already heading to life behind bars back when he hung out at the Purple Chicken. He still has 30 years for drug charges, so F-him. He'll never see the light of day, and if he does, I wouldn't advise him to come back here...

Pattison is already in federal prison for drug trafficking, and is not going to get out of there until 2028. That means he's still got another 19 years to go, and like the P-J article says, that gives the DA's office plenty of time to get their bearings straight.

it should have been done right the first time -- not the second!

Well, the DA's office thinks it got it right the first time, and that's why they're appealling the overturned conviction.

The only reason they were able to convict him the 1st time was because Mickey Darling lied and testified under oath that Pattison confessed the murders to him while they were locked up in Mayville.

That was the 2nd time Mickey was the prosecutions star witness and testified that the suspect confessed to him while in jail before the trial.

Mickey must be like a priest or something so that cold blooded murderers somehow feel compelled to confess their crimes to him. Either that or the DA is full of $hit and willing to let whoever will lie and tell the jury what they want them to hear get on the stand.

Serves them right that his case was overturned since they used some seriously shady and weak tactics to convict him in the 1st place.

Mickey Darling is a guy who has been in and out of jail. Google WATCHDOG and you will find a website that will show you sex offenders in your area, punch in 14701. They have a pic of him and it describes his crime. If I remember right it was some rape charges.

Mickey Darling is a convicted sex offender who the Chautauqua County DA has used as a prosecution in TWO seperate murder trials.

Mickey gets on the stand and says the defendant confessed to committing the murder while they were cell mates in Mayville and BAM.....convicted.
