I went to Camp Birchwwod on Leech Lake in the 60's -70's. My daughters attended in the 90's. The murder story is false. Trust me when I tell the owners of that camp would never allow anyone to be in harms way.
I live across the lake from camp birchwood and i have NEVER EVER heard of anything like this!

I have heard of girls seeing a ghost sitting on shore looking out at the lake at the camp. which my uncle had a boating accident and passed away right out front of the camp so everyone speculates its him.

But I've never heard such a bunch of crap the camp would never send them to the site of a mass murder!

It's all about rating people! A sleezy Brooklyn producer with his bugs bunny voice egging on wannabe and no talent actors. ITS all fake--Mermaids, Ghost, Bigfoot, the guys from Hollweird would sell their mother for ratings. Don't be so misled sheeple. Somewhere in Hollywood there is a producer named Marvin laughing--at all of you.

Just saying I'm at leech lake campground, and just from looking at it, It doesn't look good. There are kids just wondering, no parent to be seen. It scares me to be near here..

You forgot to say that Jason was born on Friday the 13th... That was scarry stuff...
for something real... Check out The Minnesota State Sanatorium Ah-Gwah-Ching Center over near walker.. I hear that truly is haunted.. I think they re-hab'd it and it's now a treatment center... Poor souls that end up there!! Read up on the history.. THAT"S CREEPY!
I have been reluctant to discuss this with anyone except for very close friends. This is what happened to a coworker and I at the Ah-Gwah-Ching sanitorium.
In the late summer of 2010 we were both going to the center to package up old chemicals that remained in the various buildings. The main hospital was our first stop and I must confess looked a little spooky. It's hard to believe that anyone would not get that feeling staring up at it.
After a short time we both noticed that there was a white van parked about 100 feet from the hospital building, and figured it was a few contractors inside doing some maintenance. After 5 minutes of looking at talking, trying to figure out where to start, about 7-8 latinos came running out of the building at full tilt. Not some simple jog. I mean they were RUNNING! Like, for their lives. They got in the van and flew out of there like their lives depended on it. One guy came trailing the others and was running and waving at his compatriots, but to no avail. We caught up to the guy and asked him what the deal was. All he could say was, "no mas!" "no sirve!" The van eventually caught up with him and whisked him away.
We were at the sanitarium for 3 days. There was limited electricity in the place so we had to use flashlights in several areas due to the darkness. Being somewhat adventurous, we took our flashlights down stairs to what we'd heard was the morgue. I have never been so scared in my life. Being that scared, you can swear you can hear voices and such, but in reality I think we were just terrified. Anyway, we got the chemicals out before demolition. And we never did see those latinos again.
I will never forget that adventure, and I'm glad the building has been demolished. Whatever was there, if anything, should be left to the history books.

Samantha's story is not true at all. I tried doing research and found absolutely nothing on the campsite murders in the 1970s. If it really happened the story would have gotten coverage but it didn't. I do believe that some stories on the show are true but clearly not all of them.
