This is bad luck, but glad that he is OK. But can we look into why a public employee can retire at age 50 and probably draw a significant public pension for the rest of his life?
do you actually have any facts to substantiate your ignorant claim about public employee/public pensions?

WOW stated he was glad the officer was OK. And he does have a valid question about the $$$ for pensiions. So, BALLY in my opinion you "sir" are the pathetic one.
no, you are the pathetic one... this man who put his life on the line daily, yes daily.. is up for retirement. he does not get full social security benefits just because he hit his rule of 30, and the pension that he gets, he paid into that pension so that he could retire u idiot

Of course not- it's easier to just make up nonsense.

i was side tracked by wow's and me too's comments that i hadnt read down far enough to see this brave sgt's sons comments and im sorry that i forget that their family members are put through even more pain by having to have the public judge them in such an open forum... truth is this, the man is lucky to have escaped yet another senseless tragedy by a drunk driver and his family has yet another day with him.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- if you think it's such a great job why don't you go for it? Yeah, it's easy to shoot off your fat face while you sit on your fat arse, isn't it. Put up or shut up, you lazy worthless p o s.
This is the typical talk from the LE family, just because you wear the tin badge and carry a pea shooter does not make you better than us who choose not too. Maybe I should reword that, not all of the LE family, but 90% have that attitude. Apparently you have not realized how a positive attitude can change the people you associate with every day. It is really quite alarming that people like you can actually be in law enforcement, you do not have the right attitude for the trade. Try to treat all people with respect for a month and I bet they will respect you back. I also would bet, your job will become a little easier. P.S. Writing what you did is truly unprofessional for an over paid union paying member. Where do your union dues go too?
