If an individual is proven to be guilty beyond doubt of being a major supplier of illegal drugs (Drug Dealer not the mules) then 10 years to me just seems like a slap on the hand. We need to evoke stiffer penalties for dealing drugs. In some cases I believe that a drug dealer is no different than someone who commits murder and should be punished accordingly. We need to take a stand and stop drugs from harming our society. Drugs are responsible for a multitude of violent crimes and deaths everyday in this country. Only when we hand out harsher penalties including the death penalty, (not life in prison because they will continue deal from jail) will we make an impact on the disease which continues to destroy lives.
