NUSD is more concerned about preserving the salaries of the administrators than serving the community is is intended to serve.

They pulled his out of their ___ to threaten parents to vote for the parcel tax, and after that passed they decided oh well, more for them.

When they explain the hundreds of thousand of dollars they are paying to in-house staff and outside consultants to manage the reserve funds they are sitting on and why that trumps providing services to the parents in the district then I will be more understanding of their complaints.

Riding a bike was common when I went to school but then again we were allowed to ride on the sidewalks. If the kids ride on the sidewalks these days they will get a ticket so are forced into the road with the cars.So nix the bike solution.

1. Millions spent on a healthcare campus that serves primarily illegal immigrants and their kids in the Canal.
2. Millions spent on opening a tunnel between SR and Larkspur for cyclists and a train we may never see running.
3. Millions to be spent, thousands already spent, by Marin County government to try to get into the energy business w/Marin Clean Energy project.

Yet we can't seem to fund or support buses for our children to get to school. Brilliant thinking by our political leaders.

Its okay to walk, to school. Organize some volunteers involved to form ma and pm walking pools in the neighborhoods. What healthy way to coexist with your neighbors.

There are no sacrifices we are unwilling to make, including stopping all bus service, so that we may continue paying for illegal aliens and their children! All other causes are subservient to this noble and necessary endeavor! God bless the people of Mexico and Latin America! We are here to serve them!

Right Market Watch. This situation is pathetic.
Vijay Millya is planning to build a multi-million dollar "car musuem" in Sausalito, while school buses and those who drive and maintain and ride in them rot by the wayside. Vijay can fix this with the stroke of a pen. Marin has an ample
abundance of billionaires. How about an emergency "wealth tax" on these individuals to pay for school buses?

Please, will someone sue the Transportation District for not providing ample handicap access through the Cal Park boondoggle tunnel?

I'm surprised that some genius didn't propose to have SMART run between the schools & tax the hell out of the Novato residents to pay for it....now, THAT would be typical CA political thinking.

You're idea is to tax the super-rich. So we can safely assume you're not among the super-rich. Speaking as a mult-billionaire here in Novato, I say you're idea stinks. They're your kids. Pay for them yourself.

You think the schools are bad. How about the Novato city council ?? This is why Vote for my friend and yours JOHN COLEMAN

DIRECTION AND COMMON SENSE

JOHN COLEMAN FOR CITY COUNCIL

NOVATO CITY HALL. Five million dollars ($5,000,000) of city money spent on this building. Clear coat redwood siding for the annex building which is going to be painted ?. The City could have saved the bell and tower and built a building twice the size for half the price !!!!

NOVATO THEATRE. Eighteen (18) years the building has been vacant with payments of $3,000 per month to the seller; $10,000 for appraisals; $72,720 for architectural services; $6,500 for engineering services; and $36,750 for legal services. These costs do not include staff time. At the direction of the City Council on July 28, four people explained to the Council their plan for the theatre. Not one of them provided the Council with the required financial statement; one person stated he has never seen the inside of the theatre building; another stated she has not been inside the building in four years. The City Council wasted 2 hours and 6 minutes on their proposal (and remember the city attorney gets paid by the hour to sit at these meetings !).

I ask why was this matter left on the agenda when the applicants’ packets were ruled incomplete by staff ? The theatre will never open if we don't change the direction of the last 18 years ! Are we going to take the same direction with the (closed) community house or allow the City to continue paying $67,500 per month rent at 200 Rowland Way ?

YOUR VOTE IN THIS ELECTION. I say to you - the voter – if you have a favorite candidate that you are going to vote for, remember that you have two (2) votes in this election! Think of direction and common sense for Novato and give that second vote to JOHN COLEMAN -- the man who will fight for you and the only candidate who will not take endorsements or monies from anyone because he does not want to owe anyone any favors !!!!

Thank You

I wasn't aware there were still school buses anywhere in Marin. Bus service was cut 30 years ago in the Mill Valley School District after passage of prop 13.

Why do only the special education kids get to have bus service. Is there something that makes them more valuable than the kids that live 5+ miles from school?
