Deal shakes up Marin real estate scene

I get a big kick out of seeing these "luxury" brand real estate signs planted out in front of 1100 square foot, single story, flat roof, 50 year old plain-jane tract homes in Marin. Example: Some speculator tore down an little old dump in a nice, middle class central Marin neighborhood. Its on a little 5000 square foot lot. A pretty new house is built and put up for sale immediately. I asked the "Realtor" for the price. Without the slightest blink or flinch, he says: "Two Million Dollars"! Ha Ha Ha. That place will be there till the end of time at that price...unsold. But that's the disease these characters carry.

Anyone who's stupid enough to pay their realtor the made up 6% is a sucker!!! These used car salesmen have been making 3% each even after property prices skyrocketed over the last decade. Negotiate with these parasites!!..afterall, they're used car salesmen

This story appeared over a week ago on the Marin Real Estate Blog aka the www.TheRealEstateScene.com in Marin. What took the IJ so long? And, Avram Goldman as the "Strategic Advisor", how'd that happen? Ask any Marin Coldwell Banker agent what they think of Mr. Goldman when he was their CEO. As Fleetwood Mac once said, " you might not get the answer you want to" He collapsed Pacific Union in Marin along with his accomplice B.F.(that resulted in Steve Dickason splitting) that resulted in the massive exodus of agents to Alain Pinel? How does Avram Goldman have any real estate creditbility in the Bay Area? Time will tell, but it looks like this merger doesn't change a whole lot. For those remaining Pacific Union agents joining Morgan Lane, anything after PU's demise, would look good.

used car salesmen, like bob brutyn. and whats really funny is when they have to work with realtors! who screws who first?

bob brutyn is the guy that owned ford of marin and closed with no notice to his employees AND owed them money. go to ford of marin closes with no warning to read about him. now he is trying to sell his 1.8 million dollar home and cant seem to do it. his realtor may be a nice person, but in general realtors and car salesmen seem shady and only concerned about themselves!
