I heard that there was news on Kids in His Care Daycare Center in Beltsville, MD. Last Week it was officially purchased by a religous organization. Was it Hope Ministries? Can anyone tell me where to obtain new and Legal information about this Daycare Facility. The administration of the Daycare will not give out any information to parents!

I haven't had a good experience with this daycare/summer camp. They have cashed my checks and not posted the money to my children's accounts. This has caused me to waste my time having to get copies of cleared checks because they can't get it together. There are other things about this daycare/summer camp that I do not care for but would rather not get into. This is their first year attending this summer camp and they will not be returning next year.

Parents Beware! I would never recommend this daycare to anyone. The daycare closed when schools were opened, parents had to scramble to find alternative child care or lose a day from work. If it snows you can forget it - the daycare would close.

I have heard many good things about Kids in His Care. Although there were closings last year, a few were unavoidable- water main break, etc. I would definitely recommend this day care to others.

I heard that they try to work with families who need flexible hours. The care is good and the staff is friendly. The bus service for aftercare is really good if you have to pick up your child after 6pm

This daycare is the worst. Some of the staff is ok, but maangement is not in tune with what is going on with thier staff and the children. When you address an issue about your child they make sarcastic comments.I have also been told that they will close without even giving you a notice. I would not recommend this Daycare.

I agree my child has had marks as well. I am not sure what is going on. I am concerned about my childs well being as well as the others. I wonder how many other parents have had an issue and never said anything.

I am considering sending my three year old daughter to this daycare. I am now concern with it's staffing and general accounting practices. I would love to receive recommendations on a GOOD daycare in Maryland. One complaint is one too many for me.

Thank you.

although I don't have daycare age children, I have been to Kids in his care on business.
From a distant view, the place is well run. The children seem happy, and buses that pick up kid before and after school is great.

They fired half the staff and lied about it! Something shady is going on and I pray GOD will expose it for what it is. The staff had no idea and now half the children don't have daycare because of lack of staff and if you ask me - lack of management. This center is going down fast. I guess it's no longer in His Care. GOD has turned His Face away from it! Yall pray for me.:)

This daycare has had numerous issues. The lady was right, they will close at the drop of a dime and not tell the parents. The management will lie right to your face. I have walked in and the staff person was asleep!!! My child was in an after school program today and didn't go to aftercare and I got a voicemail saying they wouldn't be able to provide care until further notice. The mgmt said the staff went on strike. They staff said they got fired. I will be looking for a new daycare. I would NOT recommend this daycare to anyone.

Back in 2001, this daycare started off great. In 2002, they ran into legal issues with the IRS and other state issues. In 2006, myself and two other parents worked with the administration and distributed a letter to the management and the staff and some parents. We tried to warn the parents to please take their kids out of the center because it was dangerous to keep the kids there with all the closings and other happenings. They published a list in late May 2006 stating that they would be closed 26 times during the next school year. That is when I took my son out of Kids In His Care. Please, Please, Please, do not put your kids in this center. If this recent event isn't a wake up call to the parents, I don't know what will be. They have no staff and the teachers have all been "fired", "let go", etc.

Try Kindercare in Laurel across from the Laurel Hospital. Or try the Kindercare that's off of 198 in Russett.

My son goes to KIHC for around two years. I am very happy and satisfied with the staff and management.
there are a lot of advantages to this center that encourages my family to continue going to this center.
educated, hard-working staff
christian environment
kind, resoponsible management
good kitchen recepies
lovely room and environment
improving social skills of your child

please continue supporting the center and let your children keep their old friends...

Folks, I have no problem with the school having internal issues, but what I do not appreciate is the blatant lack of respect shown to us parents, whose kids attend the school.
We may not specifically need to know all the details, but at least have the decency and manners to provide people with information, so we can plan. Up to now, I have not received a phone call from the school, and I am an affected parent.
I had an initial very good impression of the school, but now, with the type of treatment given to the staff, parents and most importantly the kids, one has serious concerns now.
Not even a proper meeting has been called with the parents -- and we call ourselves Christians?
If the school has issues, it could have utilised the resources of the parents to possibly help resolve the issues as right now, our kids are suffering, and the sad part is that we paid for a service.

To The School Authorities : The Lord brushes away flies for animals that have no tails.

Our kids and the staff deserved better than this.

The children keeping old friends is not the issue here. If the parents do not have reliable daycare for their kids, it doesn't matter about their friends because number 1, the parents are affected when the center is closed as often as it is. And number 2, if I as a parent lose their job my child will not see their friends. eventhough I'm no longer there at this center I am still very concerned about the well being of the kids there and the teachers. The management really messed this one up by not being honest
