Anti-Gay DC Protest Flops

A group of about 150 people gathered Tuesday outside Washington, DC's city hall to protest the DC Council's recent move to legalize out-of-state same-sex marriages. Gotta love the irony of a black woman holding a sign saying "A child deserves a mother and a father" when the black community has a 75% out-of-wedlock birthrate. Fortunately we still have some sane black people left such as the woman who advised the Bible has been used to discriminate against blacks and other minorities. She's so right - "If you're going to be a bigot, just be a bigot and don't use the Bible to back your hate up".

150 people showed up......thats not enough to fill the church balcony.

They may as well give up their hate crusade and surrender to God repeating one thousand times out loud:

"They'll know we are Christians by our unconditional love"

This bigot thing is not about races but about the hipocrisy of homophobes which trascends any race barrier that currently exists.

How is it transcending race when Whites and Asians voted against Prop 8 and Amend 2 while Blacks voted in favor of it by a 70-80% margin?

The extremists are slowly losing their flocks. Your average Christian simply can't put up or agree with fundamentalist Christian extremism anymore. They are beginning to see the true hate that drives the extremists.

That isn't to say they are are coming over to our side of any debate, just yet, but they are retaking more of a middle ground stance. It is showing a trend in a more positive direction.

Whites in the South are not the same Whites in Vermont, Iowa, Conn. or Massachusetts.

Amend 2 was here in Florida and it was the same ratio as in California. So if blacks voted one way on the west coast and voted the same exact way in the south then I highly doubt they're going to be any different up north. You can put a pigeon in a different cage but it'll still be a rat with feathers.
