Kevin's Family Restaurant in Morgan's Point...Seriously?!!!!

A couple of people have told me that this place was really good, so my boyfriend and I decided to try it out for ourselves....TERRIBLE!! Our waitress(who was very nice) sat us at a booth and proceeded to tell us about their specials which sounded great. I ordered the brisket with potato salad and pinto beans and my boyfriend ordered the sausage with the same sides. When I got my plate the brisket was so dark and dry that I could barely chew it! I asked her if this is normally how it was cooked and she proceeded to tell me that it was SITTING IN THE FRIDGE ALL DAY AND THE WAY THEY WARMED IT UP WAS TO PUT IT IN THE MICROWAVE. Then she made the comment, "Wow it really does look bad, would you like me to bring you ranch or ketchup to make it better?"HaHa!...REALLY??. ...So I politely asked her if I could perhaps substitute it for another dish. She says" The owner(sitting 2 tables away) has to say its okay, let me ask"..she walks 2 tables over and he shrugs his shoulders. She comes back and says"He says fine, what would you like?" I asked about the chicken and she whispers "I wouldnt eat the chicken if I were you!" WHAT?!!!!..I order the ribs..they come out worse than the brisket with crap smeared all over it....I begin to think maybe its just me! My boyfriend tried the ribs and compared it to dog food! By this time we were so disgusted with the whole thing we got up to leave with the OWNER sitting at the table watching us pay and didnt say a word to us!! THIS WAS ONE OF THE WORST RESTAURANTS IVE EVER BEEN TO!...Oh ya an hour later Im huddled over the toilet throwing up all the barbeque....enough said.

I feel extremely guilty about this ... I’m one of the friends that introduced her to this place. I mean I've only had the breakfast and it was pretty good. But yeah ... now that I look back the manager never really asked me how my food was or anything... and he’s ALWAYS sitting at the table watching everything. There is one waitress there that is extremely nice but the others look at you like you have crap on your face! I kept going back strictly for the breakfast because I went there when I was a kid. The people there used to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. I guess its time to let it go... that place has gone down and it won’t go back to the way it used to be. Sad when that happens.

I love Kevins,been eatin there for years and have eatin there lately!The burgers are good and the service was friendly and prompt,the meals have always been properly prepared and served fresh.I think someone was trying to hurt the competition posting those ugly insults against Kevins,I have eatin there probably a hundred times and cant think of a single thing to complain about.

Competition? What competition? The Gas Station across the street? I ate their once, 5 years ago. Haven't been back. The breakfast was cheap ($$) and it showed. Very ciggeratte smokey inside. Don't waste your time at Kevin's. There are to many other smoke filled places with bad food and atmosphere to try - once.
