As a former GA VOLUNTEER firefighter and First Responder, I feel that ALL the volunteer fire departments in SC are constantly needing funding to maintain and better their abilities to do best what the VOLUNTEER firefighters do out of their heart... protect lives and property, and become a positive influence for community.

This being stated, the State of SC should give more attention to the needs of ALL the fire departments and not just a select few.

Volunteer firefighters are volunteers because their hearts are in the right place. And yes, there are some slefish reasons for those folks being Volunteer Firefighters... there is a feeling of good ness that fills one's body and soul when he has just finished responding to a call and saving someone's property... and/or somebody's life. And there is no amount of money that can match that feeling.

Been there. Done that. I know the feeling. And because of knowing, I have the deepest respect for the Volunteer Firefighters in my district, in my county, in my State... in my country.

And because of this, if I get elected to the SC State Senate 4 this year, I will make sure to fight to get the needed funds for SC Firefighters and Fire Departments so that they can have the necessary tools and equipment to enable them to better do what they do best... protect property and save lives.

Common Sense.
