Why would I want to quit? Weed doesn't get you high. It enhances everything.

you need to put that on the Maysville, brooksville and Augusta topix, in KY it may help alot of teens.
Thanks for the post, great that you are reaching out to help others. Sometimes people don't want to talk with their friends about it, and this may help in spreading the word.

You're welcome. It's sad that some people will never know what it's like to be sober.

"weed" is NOT addictive. People may like doing it, but you do not undergo withdrawal symptoms such as one would with heroin, opiates, alcohol, etc. Its actually a natural "herb" and has some beneficial effects for cancer patients and anorexics. But it is NOT addictive and one wouldnt need rehab or medications to stop using it. It is however unhealthy to the lungs when used recreationally and is dangerous if driving while under its influence because it slows down reflexes and response time. Its a shame that people cant find entertainment without drugging themselves. Get a natural high by going for a jog or find a hobby.

You quit weed just like cigs, you throw it in the trash and don't buy anymore. If you have been a long time user you will go through strong withdrawal for about three weeks. You will have a strong craving for about 3 to 6 months and then occasional craving after about one year. After about 35 years I don't even think about weed. But I still have a craving for cigs when I smell pipe tobacco or swisher sweets cherry cigars.

Something else to think about...

Cannabis was used as a truth serum by the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), a US government intelligence agency formed during World War II. In the early 1940s, it was the most effective truth drug developed at the OSS labs at St. Elizabeths Hospital; it caused a subject "to be loquacious and free in his impartation of information."[133]
In May 1943, Major George Hunter White, head of OSS counter-intelligence operations in the US, arranged a meeting with Augusto Del Gracio, an enforcer for gangster Lucky Luciano. Del Gracio was given cigarettes spiked with THC concentrate from cannabis, and subsequently talked openly about Luciano's heroin operation. On a second occasion the dosage was increased such that Del Gracio passed out for two hours.

I think you need to do some research. there are no "withdrawal" because it is NOT ADDICTIVE. It is NOTHING like kicking cigarettes because cigs have added addictive components. There is no comparison. Ive smoked weed and I smoke cigarettes. Ive quit both and had NO problem with the "weed". I however had intense withdrawal from the cigarettes. wow, the lack of knowledge posted on here will really misinform those who do smoke it and cause needless fear of quitting.

I have done research and know for a fact it is addictive and you have withdrawal. I know this because I used heavy for six years of my life from middle to high school every day, several times a day. Smoked, eat, huffed, chewed and just about every different way you could think of, I have seen it packaged in fifty gallon trash bags. Look at the website in my post above you are mistaken if you think it is not addictive. The website is made up by people who fight it (addiction) everyday.

The Twelve Questions of Marijuana Anonymous

The following questions may help you determine whether marijuana is a problem in your life.

Has smoking pot stopped being fun?

Do you ever get high alone?

Is it hard for you to imagine a life without marijuana?

Do you find that your friends are determined by your marijuana use?

Do you smoke marijuana to avoid dealing with your problems?

Do you smoke pot to cope with your feelings?

Does your marijuana use let you live in a privately defined world?

Have you ever failed to keep promises you made about cutting down or controlling your dope smoking?

Has your use of marijuana caused problems with memory, concentration, or motivation?

When your stash is nearly empty, do you feel anxious or worried about how to get more?

Do you plan your life around your marijuana use?

Have friends or relatives ever complained that your pot smoking is damaging your relationship with them?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you may have a problem with marijuana.

Why would anyone in their right mind want to quit smoking weed? I have friends who have smoked it almost daily for 35 years and none of them have had any problems associated with "mary jane". They are hard working, tax paying Americans who just like to get high instead of drinking or eating a handfull of pills. I agree with Bob Marley on "weed", "reefer", or "ganga". We need to "legalize it".

Weed is 10 times worse on your lungs then cigs, so greater chance of dying of lung cancer. Enjoy.

No. Your wrong. Cigs have more than just tobacco in them. Worse for your lungs. Research before posting dumb comments yo.
