Solutions being sought for loud motorcycle exhaust systems

These loud motorcycles are illegal...for a very good reason. I am about to conduct a intense campaign to get law enforcement to strictly enforce the noise ordinance where I live to get these wildly inconsiderate people off the road, or else ban motorcycles from this area altogether. Sorry to say that, I am not at all against motorcycles but enough is enough.

Loud pipes DO NOT increase safety - that has been proven. All that loud pipes accomplish is denying other citizens their rights to peace and quite.

Many of these motorcyclists are quite vocal about their “rights”, however as they ride their loud and illegally modified motorcycles do they consider the rights of others to peace and quiet?

If you pass a law for loud bikes you also need to pass a law for the extreamly loud steros in cars where they rattle windows in other people cars and stores, and also ban Cell phone usage while driving and I know u use a phone while driving.that has been proven to cause accidents where loud bike has never killed anyone, but it has saved my life, or an accident at least.

hey sport bikes can have loud pipes too, i ride a sport bike and i don't rip the sleeves off my t-shirts or beat my girlfriend. and i have the loudest pipe on my block and i love it ;)

Why is it legal for a ridiculously loud motorcycle to sit next to me at a light, revving? I feel like my ears will bleed! Why does some low brow have more rights than I do? It's equivalent to someone pulling up beside you and blasting an air horn in your car window. Is that legal? Besides, most of the guys I see on bikes are over 50, over weight, and they should grow up and act like real men. A real man doesn't have to act like an ass to get attention.

Loud pipes are like all the other disrespectful and disruptive things mental bankrupts do. It's disrespectful, a disturbance of the peace, and in most cases, illegal. You see, it takes a very simple person, with a very simple mind, to like things like loud pipes. What we are fighting here is a mentality similar to that of a small infant or even more accurately, a reptile. The only difference is that these people (I use the term very loosely) walk up-right.

I hope a ban is forthcoming...

Sorry to take your little loud toys away but it is noise pollution. What if you lived next to someone playing really loud rap or classical music? Wouldn't you feel upset too? Keep it cool and don't draw attention and negativty towards yourself. Go easy on the loud pipes and you just might find yourself in a better place in the world.
