Police years ago pulled over a young woman who rushed through an amber traffic light.

This kind of stuff just drives me insane. Whenever anyone says to me "what kind of advice would you give to new parents?" I always say the same thing: "Don't give your innocent child a stupid name just because you want to prove some silly point. The child is the one who has to live with the name, not you.

It appears that this person had to overcome quite a bit due to her parents goofiness. And in the end it appears that she has done well, no thanks to her knuckleheaded parents.

I'm glad she has accomplished so much in her life and didn't let a name like that bring her down. I kept thinking of 'A Boy Named Sue' by Johnny Cash as I was reading this.

It's their choice, of course, but it bothers me that parents name their kids such off-the-wall names such as this one. You can instill individuality, strength, and a fighting spirit without saddling your offspring with ridiculous names that they carry with them for life.

If I were her I would of changed my name at age 18. It only cost under $400.00 and relativly simple paperwork. I would not go through my entire life with a name that constantly draws attention everywhere you go, unless you feel you Need the attention.

Some of you parents are so ridiculous with your children's names! When my husband and I got married he found out that he had never seen his Birth Certificate until he went to produce it to an employer and the last names were different than what he always new! Before our Wedding we had to hire an Attorney and take his Mother and Step Father to court because his Sept Father never adopted him as a 4 year old. I asked my Mother-in-law why she did this she stated "if she was ever divorced she would get child support for her son and daughter". When we went to court for the hearing the Judge asked him if he wanted restitution for this illegal act of his parent. He stated no! The Judge orders were in original Birth Certificate was impounded and sealed. A new on was issued but no Parents names are and/or will ever be listed, only a court docket # issued. His Mother and Step Father never appeared at this hearing either. For you parents out there, this really is a great way for your Children to have not much respect for you as you become older and at a time in life where you are in need your family.
