The OPD (not all officers) better step back and review the performance of many officers when it comes to "racial profiling". On April 18th at approx. 3:30 a.m. several young officers were called to a disturbance on Main Street involving a crowd of people attacking someone of a different heritage. The police gave this young man a disorderly for being attacked and all others were let go without charge. Another young man (of different heritage) was given a disorderly for coming to the scene obviously upset for his friend and given a disorderly as well. That is clear discrimination in its own right. I am angry that the police department would behave this way. It clearly states in the codes of conduct "racial profiling will NOT be tolerated!!!! This incident will not be tolarated by the public and will not go un-noticed!! As I have said in my opening of this statement, not all the police officers handle diversity like this. There are a lot of officers that are a blessing, but many others need to clean up their act!!!!!!!
