I like that he's a multibillionaire, but still lives in small town Wisconsin.

With all that money you would think he would pay somebody to go check out the roof!

is it even that ironic? considering he worked as a roofer, you'd think his chance of death by roof accident would be relatively high compared to mine. As I'm not on a roof, ever.

it's (not quite, but an extreme exmaple to make my point) like saying it's ironic that a suicider died from killing himself

Ok - did anyone else catch themselves laughing at this story? I'm sorry for his family and his untimely death, but the first thing I thought of was "hmmmm, was it his people doing the roofing? And would I hire them after this?"

I highly doubt that he WORKED as a ROOFER at the time of his death. Hard to imagine anyone NOT seeing this as ironic.

Ken Hendricks will be missed by all those who knew him and all of those who received his help-
he made life better for many through his employment and/or his generosity.
My condolences to his family.

No you would not hire him as your roofer- but if you were in need he may have given you roofing and sent someone to do your roof. If someone found this story funny- then I am truly sad for them.

I can't believe how insensitive and rude some of these comments are. Imagine if it was your father, brother, son or best friend who fell through this roof and died. I feel bad for the family and especially his wife, no matter how he died.

That is so sad, this makes you think that anything could happen to you at any given moment. Kinda like that movie, Final Destination, there's no avoiding death.

This story is so ironic, however, my condolences go out to the family and friends.
sorry roger
