I saw the commercial for WrongForBeloit.com .
They said that the Indians have no 'aboriginal ties' to Beloit. Hmmm, possibly because we took the land from any Indian that DID live there?
It's the rich folks that want to ban the casino. They are comfortable, they aren't struggling paycheck to paycheck.
But they whine about the amount of people on welfare and unemployment.

It's not Beloit's doing... it's the BIA and competing tribes and Washington scandals that are slowing this down.

The wait is NOT the fault of anyone in Beloit!

So, you think that if Beloit had a casino that the poorer people won't have to struggle?

And how responsible would someone struggling paycheck to paycheck be if they throw money away at a casino?

Did I say that? No.
Nice of you to be judgmental, thinking struggling people would gamble their money away. Perhaps some, but not all.

Maybe, just maybe, the jobs available at the casino would help those who are jobless or under employed.

But I wouldn't expect you to look at both sides, since you can't.

My appologies Dawnette, I know it would produce some needed jobs, I didn't intend to leave the impression that I was against it either as I am neutral. But it was my impression that you thought most against it were rich, and I don't think that is true either. Most people who are against casinos, are, because of religious ground, or family or friend gambles impulsively.

I'm not for or against it, because I don't know what the balance is between new jobs, and those who can ill afford it gambling. Nor do I care to gamble myself.
