How does this work? Anyone can put his name on the ballot. Should he win we then go about determining his right to have been on the ballot. Something's not right here. Please explain it to me.

If Mr. Toole's residency is found illegitimate as I hope it will be then the only fair thing to do would be to have a new run off election between Turner and Cromlish.

You can not discount all the votes given to Toole in the first place and say the 3rd runner up wins. Many of Tooles votes would likely have gone to Turner over Cromlish.

Why wasn't this brought up before the election you ask? It was but the the BOE did not have time to investigate it nor did they want to expend the energy if Toole were to lose anyways. In the same way no one wants to address my first two paragraphs here. What if's! Why waste time on what if's?

I predict that no irregularities will be found. Mr Toole will be found to be able to serve the town and Mr Cromlish will be embarassed all over again. his votes have declined over the years and with someone as credible as Toole and Turner running against him he was bound to lose the seat. He does have a fall back job though, he will be ok. Mr Cromlish did an ok job, it is time for someone else now. Where is his dignity?

Mr Toole went by the BOE guidelines and was in his Ann st. residence at least 30 days before the election. He will be found to be in the right and the foolisheness of voting records and dmv records will be exposed for the sour grapes that it is. the people have spoken in a fair and honest election. they chose change and that is Bill Toole. Get over it Cromlish and spare us all the hoopla over spilled milk.
