The school is great and the teachers do care about the students. It is a smaller school in which everyone knows each other which I feel is a good thing. I graduated in 96 and can still name EVERY one of my classmates. Love the teachers and would not consider sending my daughter anywhere else. hope this helps.

I would love nothing more than to give this school a great review, however that's simply not the case. With all due respect for the alumni of 1996, 17 years later things have changed. I don't have issues with the elementary or middle school, but I have seen first hand the things that go on in the high school. This place is completely out of control. Someone needs to come in and clean house from the administration down. It has become all about POWER and POLITICS and less about EDUCATION and EQUALITY. Star School Status looks really good on paper, but it means nothing when you sit in these classrooms daily.

Just like a lot of schools...this one is no different. It is inflicted with favoritism, bullying, unqualified teachers and staff, and parents who live vicariously through their children. Depending on your last name you will either excel or fail.

There is a lot of favoritism. I wouldn't go as far as saying all of that, but there is definitely favoritism.. Last name matters here and that really sucks. But as long as you try to stay out of trouble it will be all good.. They punish kids pretty much depending on who you are really

Well i went to belmont high school and have kids that go there also. No school is perfect and i have lived in other places growin up that were far worse than belmont. But if u or anyone else knows something is goin on and do nothin to try to change it doesnt that make u just as bad as the person doin it? I mean puttin a stop to something u know is wrong starts with standing up for what u know is right. So i say if u know this is goin on and have proof to back up your story, then do the right thing go to the superintendent and make a complaint. If that gets u no where then go to jackson. It just takes one voice to make a difference. Think about it.

Your child would have a better chance at TCHS. Belmont is stuck up and unfriendly.

Waterlogged, you apparently live in the same water bubble the rest of these people do. If you recall we have a citizen that 'hired' a hitman to murder her husband. She's sitting at home with him now. The system here doesnt operate like a normal system. Standing up for what you believe in around here makes you more of the problem, than the solution. I KNOW how this place works, that's why I left and removed my children from that school. Jackson cant help you when people here, back down out of fear. I agree with your sediments on a voice makes a difference. Your voice better have the right 'last name' and connections though.... In the meantime, I hope your children never experience what some others have!

As for you 'dry it up'....that's a little 'cheesy' on your 'whining' comment. Why dont you 'suck it up'. If you don't like people posting opinions on this site, stay off it. It's quite obvious that from here on, if someone's sneezes wrong, alcohol will be the cause. Such an imbecile!

Well that citzens husband dropped the charges agaimst her but now the state has taken uo the case against her so thats not over yet maam. My children have a few experiences and i am not one to hold my tongue and i did get something done about it and my last name is nothing special. I tell u what if u dont mind sharin the info u have about the incidents u know about tell me what happened and who it happened to and i will tell it to the proper authorities and get something done. Jackson dont care what my last name is.
