doing more with less ...
companies have found that they can achieve high production and grow profits with fewer but better qualified employees.
the applicant pool is abundantly rich with candidates willing to work below their nominal wage.
it's simply supply and demand economics.
the gap in production capacity has shrunk as more efficient work methods and effective use of technology are implemented.
company's are not going to bloat their work force by hiring unnecessary people.
the mass exporting of jobs is all but over; there is a new workforce paradigm to be reckoned with.
