You can be whatever you want to be depending on what agenda needs served. Take obama for instance - since MJ propelled him to the presidency - at first he was black, then he was white, then he was black again. At first he was Christian, then he was non-committed, then he suddenly became muslim, and now he's non-committed again. It's not confusing - you just have to eliminate all loyalty, integrity and reason - Kersplatt! You're a liberal!

Maybe you're right! When you switch sides, from right to left, does it hurt? I can kinda see it now! It's starting to make sense!

The first stimulus was a failure and I'm thinking the second will follow suit. All the added (pork) expenses which served no purpose. This stimulus is just another attempt to grow the government and line more pockets. Government purchases stimulate growth much more quickly and have a higher multiplier, raising GDP by $1.57 for every $1 spent. Unfortunately, the low-impact spending has been the fastest to come online while the high-impact spending is dribbling out very slowly.

There's virtually no confidence in the democrats spending practices and no evidence for them to even try and promote confidence. They'll have to beg, steal and threaten their way into a second stimulus bill. It will be going directly against the majority of voting citizens wishes. This administration is destroying their party and the economy simultaneously.

_Dingo wrote: <quoted text> You just don't get it. All will be well when China and Argentina and all those Middle-Eastern and South American countries see how well obama's plan has worked for the USA so far. Instead of taking advantage of the massive business opportunities to grow their economy, they'll surely follow obama and agree to restrictive mandates and taxes on their production abilities so that by 2040 they too can say they contributed to lowering the Earth's fever by .0005 degrees. I just cannot understand why you people have to be so negative all the time. Remember, obama inherited this mess and he's forced to spend all this money and put all these economy-crushing policies in place right away to make up for Bush's war on terrorism. Maybe a nice cup of Camomile tea and a cucumber plaster would help you. No I get it just fine. HINT..deep breath...HINT if we stop incentivizing companies to go overseas companies will keep jobs here. Anyone that would rather produce in Malasia or Mexico, or China, have at it, you will be paying for our infrastructure. Ok go back to whatever you were previously viewing, because we agree. Obamanomics is a disaster.

Is the first stimulus the one Bush pushed through before he left office? Oh, they called that a "bail-out."

Bush used 1/2 of the $700 billion which, I'll do the math for you, is $350 billion and left the balance for the Obama administration to use. They say they have used that $350, needed another $787, which isn't all spent, supposedly, and now they are talking about another one?? Some pretty fancy accounting going on in DC. I wonder if they have to follow Sarbanes-Oxley regs in their reporting or if that is just for the "common" folk.

Shouldn't the government be subject to Sarbanes-Oxley? What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I don't think anyone was cheering him on. But Obama's administration/Congress seems to be taking Bush's stupidity precedent and running wild with it.

http://www.recovery.gov/... So far if I'm reading this correctly, they have only spent a little over 60 billion, of the total $787 Billion plan. I dont know why they are already talking about another bailout already.
