I might vote for a second stimulous if they retracted the first one and started over.

May I inquire the lone yes voter to state why they think this would be a good idea?

Started, yes, half-way done - NO - which is why they should RETRACT it and start over.

I heard on this mornings news the rate increases at local colleges. I heard a blurb that said they would 'refund' these increases to students when they received stimulous money. WOW - what an impact that will have on job growth. Refunding college rate increases.....huh....hadn't thought of that one.

You didn't see that extra 7 bucks a week in your paycheck? Hey if the big O is going to hand out some more money I'll take a check. I can put it towards the extra buck a pack tax on my cigarettes. And After all, the first stimulus is working miracles in our economy LOL>...

About that extra seven bucks...I've heard that it won't change your actual tax obligations come April 15th, is that correct? Meaning you can adjust your withholdings now, but it won't change the amount you actually owe. Does anyone know if that's accurate or not? I haven't touched my withholdings, I figure if it adjusts my actual tax obligation I'll get it with my refund. But thought I'd ask to see if anyone really knew the truth on that.

Haha, I didn't think it would be. I'd still like to hear why some would support it. Perhaps they could offer some sort of insight I am missing myself?

It was me, Angie. I just can't fight it any longer. obama's just such a good-looking man, and he speaks so pretty, and he's just so darned different than the other pasty-faced politicians - especially that SOB Bush! I can't help but think his years as a lawyer for ACORN and as a Chicago community organizer and friend of Bill Ayers and Reverend Wright make him the very best person to entrust with trillions of borrowed dollars on America's behalf.

I cannot understand why people are so mean to him all the time. He's just so nice! The way he makes friends with our enemies like that. It just melts my heart. And he said he wouldn't tax me but even though he now will I don't mind because I know it's all going to work out just fine somehow.

I voted no, but I could change my vote if it goes something like this...tax the crap out of all imports and reduce our taxes to nothing...and I don't mean just payroll taxes...all the different kind of excise/gas/use/etc

So imports cost more than american made stuff and our economy recovers all those tax dollars that companies left here to try and save.

stimulate that...

That just makes WAY TOO MUCH sense. Since "we" gave away a huge amount of middle class jobs...give the middle class a huge tax break.

You just don't get it. All will be well when China and Argentina and all those Middle-Eastern and South American countries see how well obama's plan has worked for the USA so far. Instead of taking advantage of the massive business opportunities to grow their economy, they'll surely follow obama and agree to restrictive mandates and taxes on their production abilities so that by 2040 they too can say they contributed to lowering the Earth's fever by .0005 degrees.

I just cannot understand why you people have to be so negative all the time. Remember, obama inherited this mess and he's forced to spend all this money and put all these economy-crushing policies in place right away to make up for Bush's war on terrorism.

Maybe a nice cup of Camomile tea and a cucumber plaster would help you.

I think we need an intervention and have a three hour show on A&E. "They" are addicted to power. We need to send "them" to a nice retreat somewhere where "they" can be detoxed from their desire and need to control everything and everyone.

stage accomplishments he was a distinguished Marine Corps fighter pilot in
WWII earning six Air Medals and attaining the rank of Colonel. He was

Farrah Fawcett died this week after a long career in Hollywood as an
actress. After she was diagnosed with cancer, she became an activist for
cancer treatment and devoted her last remaining years encouraging people to
seek treatment. She documented her plight on film and used it to encourage
others to stay positive and upbeat despite their diagnosis and suffering.
Michael Jackson died this week. He was perhaps one of the greatest singers
of modern time. He will also be remembered for his eccentric lifestyle that
included sleeping with a chimpanzee, living in a carnival-like atmosphere at
Neverland, his fascination with Peter Pan, and his numerous masks and
costumes. He also admitted to finding pleasure sleeping with young boys and
paying out millions of dollars in settlements to the families of these boys
despite being acquitted by a court on one allegation of sexual molestation.
QUESTION - Which of the above did the House of Representatives declare a
moment of silence for today?(Hint - It wasn't the first two.)
QUESTION - Which of the above's family received a personal note of

SAD !!!
Which one, according to Al Sharpton, helped propel obama into the White House?
(Hint, it may have been Ed or Farrah, but they weren't black)
