DA challenges incompetence of 'one-man demolition derby'
Prosecutors are challenging the reports of court-appointed doctors who believe the parolee once dubbed a “one-man demolition derby” for allegedly wreaking havoc during a single afternoon in Burlingame should return to a state hospital rather than stand trial.
George Sperb, 57, faces three strikes and a potential life sentence if ever tried and convicted of wrecking five cars, holding a knife to a teen and stealing two different cars all on Jan. 14, 2004.
