President Bush visits Freehold Township | APP.com | Asbury Park Press

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — President Bush is scheduled to visit a credit counseling service in Freehold Township today to discuss the housing market that is being hit hard by falling prices and risky mortgage loans that are becoming delinquent.

Bush is expected to meet with counselors at Novadebt. The nonprofit company is part of the Hope Now Alliance, a network of 10 credit counseling services that try to help distressed home owners re-work the terms of their mortgages.

The visit is Bush's first to Monmouth County since he has been president. And it comes as local business owners and consumers are wary that the slowing economy could fall into a recession. New Jersey has lost 10,300 jobs this year.

Bush is scheduled to arrive in Freehold Township about 2:30 p.m. He'll participate in a roundtable with counselors, take a tour of the office and make a statement about the housing market, according to the White House.

Willowbrook Road in Freehold Township will be closed to traffic from noon to 5 p.m. today for the president's visit.

Maybe some of those protestors should listen to Bush since NJ is financially about the worst run state in the US. However they will bash Bush to cover their own ineptitude and lust to spend other people's earned money. Debt is a natural result of nj citizens following the NJ government lead, artificially raising revenue,1 by borrowing billions with bonds that will never get paid off for projects that never get accomplished.

NOVADEBT is an excellent credit counseling service. I have a family member who used them and did very well. Sadly, most people avoid this type of help when their finances hit crisis levels.

I am a native New Yorker...hate N.J. politics, and high taxes, but the citizens of this state are about the finest around. Outside of New York, that is!(big smile) Go YANKEES!
