Offshore drilling won't lower gas prices and Bush knows it and McCain knows it. All it would do is enrich speculators in offshore leases -- like Bush family and friends.

68 million acres are NOT being drilled on -- right now -- even though it is legal. If they were drilled and pumped --- we could not REFINE it right now.

SO, why lift the ban on offshore drilling? To make a profit for the current holders -- selling their "right" to drill. Those leases will still be held WITHOUT DRILLING until prices are even higher.

Bush could lower prices of gas at pump today -- by releasing a small percentage of our strategic petroleum reserves. We taxpayers would even make a profit by "selling" it at current high prices -- when we had bought it cheap.

Bushcrooks lying again to cheat Americans after they trapped them in a corner -- color me NOT surprized.
