Man shot, killed in Stone Park

A man died Wednesday after being shot in the chest in west suburban Stone Park, police said.

They parked next 2 him and stayed in there cars till the ambulance came no one got out he was alone on the floor its sad i thought they would have been trained in some sort of way they just watched

you would think they would have given him cpr or stopped the bleeding. did you see what happened or how/why he was shot? wasn't there a girl there with him?

I didnt c a girl but his chest was bleeding i was there after the gunshots he was wearing a white shirt it was obvious he was shot i dont know why they didnt attempt 2 stop the bleeding he was in bad shape but they still couldve helped i expectted more from our lw enforcement

Eman, why didn't you go help him? Why didn't you give hime CPR or try to stop the bleeding?

Now, let me let you in on a little secret, CPR doesn't help if your shot in the chest. You begin to bleed into your chest wall, you get what's called a hemothorax. When you do CPR it's to circulate blood. When there is no blood to circulate you can't do CPR.

As far a your thought on controlling the bleeding, he needs a chest tube not direct pressure. Maybe, if your so concerned, you should ask benny how many stone park cops where on duty at the time of the shooting. And when I say on duty I mean patrol officers. Stone Park is not safe, mazzulla is a idiot, but you people elected him. You live in a broke, dangerous town that is over taxed. All the while mazzulla gets rich off of you fools

this man was my brother in law and it was not drug related. it was an x girlfrind new boyfriend thing.............his family is very sad...we miss you so danny
