Read the BISD Summary of Agenda on Northtexas E-News today. I loved some of the new additions to staff but sad to see Ms. Payne and Ms. Bridges resigning and retiring. The kids seemed to really like them. New additions to staff and resignations in the Evans staff are just right for a newly renovated school. My grandson is excited about starting fourth grade there this year. With all the bad that's been said about BISD, maybe the good is on it's way. It seems like it any way. Glad to see Ms. Knight on the sub list too.

Thank you for the Freshman Orientation today. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. Having upperclassmen walk around with the ninth graders was a huge highlight of her day. She feels much better about the transition. Way to go!

wish we would have had that for our 9th grader! Sure would of been a better transition for him and his friends.

What's the good job for? Fifty-four new employees at a district that was not even in bad shape.

"A few bad apples can ruin the bunch." Seems like many parents are happy with some of the changes to personnel. Not all of the staff needed to leave but definitely some did and a few still do. From what I've read on here and from lots of talk in the community, BISD WAS in bad shape. BISD does seem to be turning the corner and heading down the road to better things for our students. I say "Good Job" to BISD too!

If you are the ones "Judging" the posts complimenting BISD as being NUTS or SPAM, you must be one of the ones who left the district. Let this lady and her grandson be excited. Damn.
