Review: Porters on the lane in Bellport

Steps at entrance. Bright as an autumn leaf, Porters on the lane drops in as the type of restaurant every neighborhood needs: friendly, upbeat, fairly priced, very good.

the steaks in this place are never cooked right, or just plain out terrible. fried crab cake? cmon maybe you should deep fry your steaks so they will taste better

LOL.. you have got to be kidding me.. I have had an unbelievable steak there at least 3 times... when the place first open they undercooked but that was to be expected... now they cant be beat... the crabcake is listed as one of the best on te island...

Porters is excellent. Drove from Springs to the Gateway Playhouse over the summer. Had dinner at Porters and it was outstanding.

I went last night for the first time and was very impressed, great menu, great flavors and everything was cooked to perfection...David you should revisit and try again...This is a great restaurant

Outstanding... Simple yet creative in cuisine and decor.. this hot spot really caught our eye during a friends party at this place.. we loved it then and now.. the service is near perect and the food is delicous.. we go once every two weeks.. very casual fine dining.. nothing stuffy but with all the good accents.. enjoy!

They didnt lose him.. they fired him for being a drunken drug addict... place has never been better..

all I know is that the restaurant gets better and better every two weeks.. one time in about 20 that I have been there a steak was under cooked.. manaement made up for it very quikly and my experiences have been excellent.. hoorah!
