I hope to God they find these pieces of dung. Let's see: attempted murder, reckless endangerment, assault of a police official, assault, the list goes on. On a separate note, how disgusting is it that it takes an AMT (paramedic) getting hurt for Newsday and any other news agency to even mention them. EVERY single day, they are out there, helping people from every walk of life, saving lives, and going above and beyond the call of duty. Often, others get the credit for their hard work, as they sit in the background silently. There have been AMT's who have run into burning buildings, only to hand the person off to a police officer, and run back in, while Newsday gives credit to the wrong person for going in with no protection. FYI to everyone - off the 343 FDNY members who died on 9-11, there were EMS bureau members included in that figure (they are not firefighters, they are EMT's and paramedics). Let's try to remember more than just firefighters and police officers as tireless hard workers who put themselves in harm's way (don't think they don't), but the EMT's and paramedics who often work for far less money than their other emergency service brethren.

This is a cowardly act by a bunch of lowlifes. The driver could have lost an eye, broken facial bones or lost his life.

If these depraved individuals did this to a ambulance with Police markings, they will do it to anyone. The Sozzi administration should offer a TIPS reward of $2000.00 as soon as possible so they can be caught and prosecuted.
