Caught on to Christine Chartrand recently when finding a great Jennifer video. Here is Christine Chartrand's cover:

Christine Chartrand - Mais qu'est-ce que ça peut vous faire (1967)

video by bespin

It's just fantastic--her voice is phenomenal. Jennifer's is good too, what with her presence, delivery, and dramatic flair. But the slower tempo and fantastic voice of Christine Chartrand won me over enough to explore her a bit more. Seems the website 'Ready, Steady, Girls' is not onto Christine Chartrand yet. They don't have her on there anywhere, nor do they have Marianne Mille (even though Marianne Mille has great videos on Youtube and played Eponine in the original 'Les Miserables').

This is a very charming video that also focuses on the singer's eyes. Have always loved how they did that with Ana Identici, but having found the Christine Chartrand video today (Christine Chartrand QuatreGouttes..... Archive personnel de Normand Daoust), think the emphasis on Christine Chartrand's eyes is even more beautifully done. Here's the Ana Identici video (you'll love it if this is your first time viewing it--Engelbert Humperdink had a popular English version of the song):

Another beautiful French pop song from 1968 with rain in the title:

Christine Delaroche Douce Est La Pluie

Translates online as: "gentle is the rain"

"Christine Chartrand QuatreGouttes..... Archive personnel de Normand Daoust" makes your heart float. Viewed it enough times today to learn Christine Chartrand has a lovely spit bubble appear at the corner of her mouth @:22; endearing.

Have had "Babinski reflex" on occassion (foot/toes cramp/spasm) since tick bite/EM rash/Lyme disease diagnosis/DOXYCYCLINE antibiotic in 2002. Expereincing it more frequently past 6 months or so, about every other day.

Google'd "Babinski reflex" and found this on NIH (National Institutes of Health) page:

The presence of a Babinski's reflex after age 2 is a sign of damage to the nerve paths connecting the spinal cord and the brain (the corticospinal tract). This tract runs down both sides of the spinal cord. A Babinski's reflex can occur on one side or on both sides of the body.

An abnormal Babinski's reflex can be temporary or permanent.

Causes

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease)
Brain tumor
Friedreich's ataxia
Head injury
Hepatic encephalopathy
Meningitis
Multiple sclerosis
Pernicious anemia
Poliomyelitis (some forms)
Rabies
Spinal cord injury
Spinal cord tumor
Stroke
Syringomyelia
Tuberculosis (when it affects the spine)

___

Stiff neck ever since Doxy in 2002, hard to turn head from side to side. Back of neck stiff. Wonder if there is chronic brain stem/spinal cord inflammation and if that risks aneurysm or brain tumor developing. Or if so, if there is brain tumor already and it metastisized to lungs (where the chest x-ray and CT scan showed nodule, etc.)
Reiterating this from other thread as the NIH page found today seems to specify well what could be involved. Lyme disease can involve meningitis and/or encephalopathy.

This video seems to have had poor production--it's a very nice sounding song (a popular Francoise Hardy song), and Christine Chartrand's voice is excellent, but it doesn't play well; still, it's worth viewing as there is much that's nice about it:

Jennifer's "La melodie" video is really good. Christine Chratrand also did that one quite well, but maybe not enough to give it preference over Jennifer's (as is the case with "Mais qu'est-ce que ça peut vous faire"):

Christine Chartrand QuatreGouttes..... Archive personnel de Normand Daoust has to be one of the most beautiful found in the past three years of viewing Youtube. And I love her spit bubble as well as the pauses that contain the "ting-ting-ting-ting ".

Here's a very interesting cover of a well known song:

Christine Chartrand - Je ne sais plus (1967)

--Christine Chartrand's voice is outstanding in most any of those videos showing her standing in front of a newstand.

Similar to Des ronds dans l'eau, the Christine Chartrand - Je ne sais plus (1967) video appears to have poor production. Again, the music accompanying her is too loud when there doesn't seem to be reason for it as her voice is excellent. So it kind of comes off sounding like it's in a nightclub.

My favorite Eurovision performance (it's important to get the right video as the others do not show her walking down the stairs [resembling the Pink Panther]):

Criticized two of the Christine Chartrand videos (above), which I seldom do, but just disappointed since Christine Chratrand has such a great voice. So will point out again that Christine Chartrand - Mais qu'est-ce que ça peut vous faire (1967)--both the production and her voice--are perfect.

Google translates Christine Chartrand - Je ne sais plus (1967) as "I don't know", but a little searching seems to tie it in with the following:

Lesley Gore * You don't Own Me *( Italian version )

video by Reine72

---The song sounded familiar but couldn't place it--maybe this Lesley gore version is same song? Wonder who original is by...will try and find out. Btw, Des ronds dans l'eau lyrics tranlsated online don't sound too romantic--more like Dostoevsky's Prince Myshkin existentialism?

That may not be the same song. The Lesley Gore You don't own me sure is enjoyable though. They both are actually. Was critical of Christine Chartrand - Je ne sais plus at first but the more I listen to it the more I like it. Some of these songs are like that. But the Lesley Gore video is a hoot. What fun. May be getting clsoe to finding out the original as one of the commenst under the Lesley gore video refer to a song called "Maybe I know" (which would be closer to the google translation of Christine Chartrand's Je ne sais plus meaning "I Don't Know"). Will keep trying....

Unable to pin it down...the song sounds so familiar (Christine Chartrand - Je ne sais plus). But did find out the Lesley Gore 'You Don't own me' is a "proto-feminist" song, according to her colorful Wiki page. Her Wiki page has funny references such as "Cat woman minions" (from the Batman TV series), etc.

It wasn't Leslie Gore's "Maybe I Know". Tried that and it doesn't sound nearly as close to 'Je Ne Sais Plus' as did 'You Don't Own Me'.
