Don't blame the press telegram...this is LKWD not releasing the truth again....HERE's some details for you.. like always cops came zipping DOWN clark again I counted 11 cars...LAST one later than the pack drove like an idiot! half lights..half not and went through the intersection at hedda...like an actor filming a batman scene traffic everywhere !..AGAIN this SUCKS ! WE live in LAKEWOOD and why our lives are put at risk EVERY time BELLFLOWER has a problem is unfair to these residents...the noise alone is ridiculous !!! NOT one single bellflower resident's peace is disturbed ! THIS goes on all the time !!! BELLFLOWER NEEDS TO PUT MORE MANPOWER AT THEIR OWN STATION !! THE situation is getting worse in april we had 22 cars run down this street at 6:00 pm on a friday night ! IT is only a matter of time that a resident is BADLY hurt or killed...there are almost 100 families directly in harms way whose only crime is we bought homes in lakewood !!! I hope this gets posted...because THIS situation is NOT a secret. WE have been complaining constantly since last year..THAT is why there is an organization called clark in crisis!

LAST night(once AGAIN!) cops came whizzing down our street with sirens blazing I counted 11 total...(probably more!) TO get to YET another of the countless crimes in BELLFLOWER! Putting the approximate 100 residents of clark ave directly in harms way AGAIN ! THE NOISE ALONE is ridiculous ,you try dealing with crying babies, howling dogs, sleeping residents(formerly) ALL WHILE the residents of BELLFLOWER remain undisturbed ! lasd needs to start putting fleets in BELLFLOWER! IN april.. 22 cars ran down this street at top speed at 6:00 pm on a Friday Night! EVERY time this happens neighbors scramble to make sure we are all safe ! ITS horrible..it's like living under attack !and NO one ever looks back to see if we're safe !AND we never get told WHY in the press. Unfortunately, because this street is so small the odds are against the residents on clark ave...someone some day is going to get badly hurt ! WE are taking the ultimate risk living here..it's NOT FAIR ! the residents of clark are NOT criminals we just bought houses in LAKEWOOD !!!

The crazy driving cop cars in mass quanities is not limited to Lakewood; we get it in Bellflower ALL the time. I tell everyone if one cop car coming with lights, sirens or just hauling buns...stay out of the way...there is ALWAYS an additional 4+ units right behind them. My life has also been endangered too many times....yeah, always on Clark!(It's my understanding the Bellflower station is a satellite extension of Lakewood's station:)

SO.. what does the satellite station do ? house donuts and barbq's instead of officers and cars to deal with THEIR PROBLEMS !!,,,nothing "FRIENDLY" about that .It's just IRRESPONSIBLE, DANGEROUS, AND UNFAIR !!!

Stop crying clark! You know if something happened at your house you would want those Sheriffs driving as fast as they can to get there. The problem is that Bellflower doesn't contract for enough deputies so whenever something happens you get deputies from lakewood bellflower and cerritos.

OH that's where you are soooooooooo wrong...WE have NO enforcement for trucks breaking size and weight limits !(oops sign mysteriously disappered somehow) WE have very limited support for code and traffic enforcement !(been in court recently over that ! and won !) WE have an approx, 2 hour response time, just like everyone else ! and WE have officers competing with other emts and speeders for land and speed records! AND as for crying...last summer I was walking my dog at dusk when police cars went whipping around the corner at south and clark no lights, no sirens, no warning ! last car lost control... I looked that officer in the eyes...thought for a moment my dog and I were dead..luckily, he regained control of his spin out...I CRIED and peed my pants in public and shook all the way home! this incident was reported to the sheriffs and to city council ..Just so you don't think anyone is talking behind backs !!! POINT is people are not expendable...these 100 families should not be sacrificed !!! there are streets on either side of us with service streets ! and by the way it seems since Bellflower has so much crime they get THEIR money's worth...clark ave residents are the ones paying for it !

Deputies were searching the area around the 9200 block of Walnut for a black male that had already committed armed robbery with a handgun. They came across this guy, Donnie Bobo, age 18, and as they approached him, he began to remove a handgun from his waist area. The deputies fired on him and he took off running and was later found three blocks away. He was carrying a .45 caliber handgun and he's a member of "Park Village Crips". He was positively identified as the armed robbery suspect the deputies had been searching for.
He was shot at least twice, one that grazed his lips!
Maybe the deputies should slow down, and give guys like this a chance to run away and get inside a house to hold a family hostage or to shoot someone for their car to make good his getaway. Maybe cops do drive too fast. I've never heard anyone admitting they cried and peed their pants about it.

Just a side note to Clark in Crisis; I grew up in Lakewood & have lived in Bellflower now for 28 yrs. Lakewood is NOT immune to the crime, etc. Try checking the history for Lakewood Center; a friend of mine's son had 2 friends shot at a house party in Lakewood Village about 2 mos ago. Check out the thugs/white gang intimidation @ Airplane park on Woodruff that the Lakewood law enforcement like to sweep under the rug! Your lilly white city is NOT what people think it is ~ the city just chooses not to share reality..God forbid the reputation of Tomorrow's City Today is tarnished. Last I checked, Lakewood cops are part of LA County Sheriff's dept as is Bellflower, Norwalk, etc. I've been paying a 5% tax on utilities for 2 properties for 10+ years to support additional extra cops in Bellflower. The problem is wide spread and is NOT limited to my Friendly City:)

I've never heard anyone admitting they cried and peed their pants about it.well, Maybe YOU should be on the OUTSIDE of a patrol car, instead of the inside where YOU are nice and safe...and just for the record MY incident was the 2nd one that DAY involving residents and 1 of 4 that week-end !! with NEAR misses 2 INVOLVED officers SPEEDING for NO REASON that we ducked and missed AND reported ! AND it isnt about residents of all cities getting the help THEY need and DESERVE it's about the direction they choose to travel ! WHY don't they go down candlewood to lakewood BLVD? Maybe because it might disturb dining guests and damage tax revenue ? as far as wuzzfuzz...I AM NOT a trained tough guy and neither are our neighbors and we are not prepared as these officers are to deal with these situations...we are just residents that can't get out of the way fast enough ! AND if you are wondering why we don't try and DO something about it...we HAVE tried.WE asked our city to allow us to widen our driveways to make it safer. THEY said NO ! even with the state of california mandating a reduction in lawn size..as part of drought policy...our city and I quote."Cannot have us parking on our lawns". Bottom line..If you can't fix it .YOU have a right to complain about it...clark will be having an upcoming meeting to handle class action suits...so hopefully we can ADDRESS our problems legally !

The problem is wide spread and is NOT limited to my Friendly City:) BELIEVE me I know...when our friends leave the mall the come down and jump on the 91 to go home plus they use the alley across the street ...you should hear some of the stories they are nightmares...I totally agree about the mall..the little sheriffs dept. safely on the inside is a joke ! they would have better off putting a tent in the parking lot ! that's where most of the problems are ! WE hear things..but crimes are rarely reported to the media so a lot of us don't shop there ! like I said to wuzzfuzz this is about the route they choose to take ! WE don't have a service street period ! Can't change it ! SO they can travel down to south go either direction and don't !!!WE can't protect ourselves and there have been WAY TOO many close calls,,and GOD forbid a child ever accidentally got out ! the thought is horrific! THERE IS a great web site now regarding the issue of disclosure it's called laag.us . Lakewood accountability action group ! Another GROUP that has had major problems in another part of the city ...take a peak ! And as far as airplane park (Del Valle) that is scheduled to get new picnic covers for 500 thousand dollars ..because a "fire" burnt down one ! SO Lakewood seems to care more about those "thugs" than us !
