Nice to see some positive news once in a while in this troubled economy. Kudos to the Shelter!

The problem is that the Sentinel is the only show in town so they can do what they want. They could care less if you don't spend 50 cents on their paper, the profit is made from the advertisers anyhow.

On the flip side of this, its not just the Sentinel attempting to cover up the local crime, its the Mifflin County Regional Police Department as well. They very rarely release information to the media unless its something that makes them look really good. If you pay attention you'll notice most mifflin-county related crime reports that make it to the media are the ones that the State Police handled, because they release their reports to the media. That's why you see a lot of huntingdon/juniata county reports as well.

Daily Horoscope for December 3 Taurus
The Moon continues to activate your seventh house of marriage and partnerships, so try to find time for two today. With all the activity in your money houses, it may be hard to meet the needs of your partner. In fact, you may resent the time you are having to spend on the job, or the time you must spend maintaining personal relationships. Try to find a balance.

Either that or just change your name to one of the other ones you use when you want to add a negative comment.

channel is mostly about airguns with a few other clips thrown in now and then. About Me: My name is Dave and I've messed with airguns since I was about 8 years old, though I been away from them for many years and just got back into them about a year ago. I have 6 airguns now, Gamo Big Cat, Benjamin Super Streak, Crosman Storm XT, Benjamin Discovery, Crosman Titan GP, Walther Talon Magnum, and I have a Jack Haley .457 coming in about 2 or 3 months, and I'd like to get a 9mm airgun also.

If you like talking about airguns, feel free to come to my web site and join the message board! Just maybe one of us may learn something! DID YOU SAY NEGATIVITY?
JunkE wrote:
I agree with you 100%. There is way more crime that goes on here than the average person would know about because the MCRPD will not provide police reports to the media. Why? Because they want to continue snowballing everybody into believing that they have the drug and crime problems in our area "under control" when in fact its just as bad now if not worse than it ever was.
The drug problem is treated the same way. 5-6 years ago you couldn't open the paper without reading of a drug overdose, now you read none. Is that because the Regional Clowns and Steve Snook and his wonderful Drug Task Force finally got a handle on the situation? Phuck no, its because they couldn't get a handle on it at all, so they quit reporting it in an attempt to save face in the community. Ask any EMT or ER staff around here how many overdoses are treated on a weekly basis in this area..........you'll be shocked to say the least!
